As was the theme typically back then it was a picture of a topless Indian lass with her ankles half submerged in river, a ghada on her kamar and decked in soft sari. I had the same reaction as KT does watching Varun Aaron. :giggle::giggle: By the way if Debonair was high class, what was mainstream? It so happened that the match got canceled for some reason and instead of going home, a couple of us went to watch Khoon Bhari Maang - the 12-3 was sold out so we went for the 3-6. My father happened to be near my school around 5 and thought he might as well pick me up. Of course when he got there he didn't find any one from my usual friends around he got a bit worried but went home to see if I was already back. When I finally got home around 6:30 and described in vivid details the match and my performance(always downplay your performance in these situations lest they get brought up at some inconvenient time later), he told me that he was looking for me on the same ground where my team had just "lost a match"! Anyhow, I got quite a scolding that day and to this day all of us have quite a laugh about how Khoon Bhari Maang nearly led to Khoon in my Maang.

Now I don't travel by train that frequently, more importantly, not that desperate to go hunting :)...but I am sure these are still there.. Over-exposure is one definite factor - 'forbidden fruits' are always more 'charming'. Back then, one had to wait for Panjab Kesri ( or whatever) weekend specials to sooth our eyes...now a days, I do not need to comment.

And the buggers would skip it on weekends. :mad: Still remember clearly few of his exploits, e.g. there was one where baddies gave Lothar to kick a metallic football (american) thinking that it would hurt Lothar, and then Lothar kicked it out of the stadium. IIRC It was some sort of bet to get freedom or something, when he was held captive.
