zen Posted November 23, 2011 Posted November 23, 2011 What is the best laptop to buy in the price range of USD$400 TO USD$600' date=' i want one that is good for playing latest computer games, software such office 2010, sage, watching movies, icf:icflove: etc...[/quote'] For that kind of a range, go to the store, look around and get the one which has the best specs .... I wouldn't care much about the brand
Jersey #10 Posted November 23, 2011 Posted November 23, 2011 Mac is out of the question in that range Sony Vaio is the best bet. You can get a i3 for 500$ odd and an i5 for 600$ odd if you are lucky. Mind you, Sony uses the same stuff inside the computer as any other brand but their engineering in making the computer outer "box" is worth the money. It's sturdy and will hold it's shape for a long long time. Anything from their keyboard keys to the hinges are worth paying the extra money. I have had 2 HPs, 1 Dell, 1 Gateway before this an none of them lasted over a year (school use). My current Sony has held up pretty well for two years and still works like new(almost). I got this one for 800 while I could have gotten the same thing for like 600 with HP. I think it was worth it. cons - speakers, not loud at all compared to some other brands (especially HP, they have amazing speakers)
1983-2011 Posted November 23, 2011 Author Posted November 23, 2011 what would you say about this one: TOSHIBA Satellite C660-2D7 http://uk.computers.toshiba-europe.com/innovation/product/Satellite-C660-2D7/1113651/toshibaShop/false/
WC2011INDIA Posted November 23, 2011 Posted November 23, 2011 what would you say about this one: TOSHIBA Satellite C660-2D7 http://uk.computers.toshiba-europe.com/innovation/product/Satellite-C660-2D7/1113651/toshibaShop/false/ Everything seems to be good except graphics card. It might not be able to handle high end games. To play latest games you need Nvidia graphics chip. Also, this laptop doesn't come with a blu-ray drive. But I guess you don't need it, if you are gonna download movies.
triam Posted November 23, 2011 Posted November 23, 2011 for your budget gaming laptops are tough to find try Asus, you should be able to find one.
