gakgupta Posted December 2, 2011 Author Posted December 2, 2011 well...purpose of this thread was to discuss about Uday....but discussing something else alltogther
Needforspeed Posted December 3, 2011 Posted December 3, 2011  Can't believe this subtle regionalism, by putting down Tea, mainly grown in the Eastern parts of India to put forward coffee, mainly cultivated in Finey's home state has gone unpunished for so long. Clear case of cronyism and lobbying here. OK cool it. Srikant I am sure drinks coffee. Maybe some others may drink Chai...As long as they are not drinking anything else:beer-bottle::beer-bottle:
carnish Posted December 3, 2011 Posted December 3, 2011 i say give uday a chance in place of pappu.... coz pappu fail ho gaya
Number Posted January 15, 2012 Posted January 15, 2012 He has done well this season too with the bat. Specially in tough times when Punjab needed him. Definitely the best WK-Batsman in India. What is Mohinder Amarnath doing ? Rahul Sharma from Punjab got BCCI contract without playing a single intl game and this guy is being ignored again and again. Saha , I agree should get a chance but for Pappu at least they can try him.
Cricket Tragic Posted January 15, 2012 Posted January 15, 2012 Has anyone seen much of his keeping? No point in having someone who can't catch the ball.

India-KXIP fan Posted November 6, 2012 Posted November 6, 2012 ^DTW probably full of chit here Im guessing? Funny post none the less but I doubt he ever saw him. Anyway his batting average is fantastic but I heard people say he's not a specialist as a keeper. He took 6 catches in 1st Ranji match this season so can't be too bad. Saha dropped 2 in his game against England. Kaul should be keeper in next A tour. He's 24 now and at peak age.
CG Posted November 6, 2012 Posted November 6, 2012 Has anyone seen much of his keeping? No point in having someone who can't catch the ball. Where Is CT ,Ind eng series is near and we still do not have ct.:((
CricLind Posted November 9, 2012 Posted November 9, 2012 Kaul has got one of the highest FC averages amongst the keepers but that doesn't mean much. Saba Karim and Pankaj Dharmani averaged above 50 as well when they were selected, and neither of them distinguished themselves. He needs to be given some "A" tours and other matches against visiting Test teams. Nearly every keeper in domestic cricket averages above 40 these days - Karthik, Pappu Patel, Smit Patel, Motwani, the two Gautams, etc.
India-KXIP fan Posted November 28, 2012 Posted November 28, 2012 FC average is 53. Time for test debut :orderorder:
King Tendulkar Posted November 28, 2012 Posted November 28, 2012 ^ But so is dhonis. This Kaul sounds like a batsman who can keep a bit. No good for tests. Has he been on any tours
JaFanatic Posted November 28, 2012 Posted November 28, 2012 But whats his glove work likewas a part time keeper. took it seriously from this season only. like uthappa
rkt.india Posted November 28, 2012 Posted November 28, 2012 was a part time keeper. took it seriously from this season only. like uthappa No, he wasnt a part timer. He has always been a wicket keeper.
JaFanatic Posted November 28, 2012 Posted November 28, 2012 No' date=' he wasnt a part timer. He has always been a wicket keeper.[/quote'] :agree:
King Tendulkar Posted November 28, 2012 Posted November 28, 2012 Sounds nothing like a test match keeper to me.
India-KXIP fan Posted January 10, 2013 Posted January 10, 2013 Kaul setting up for another big score. This time it's flat track but that 96 he got on the low scoring pitch was impressive. Same with 2 centuries in Mohali. CM Gautam is a huge ftb on the other hand. Weak group and very very flat tracks is where he got runs. ^ But so is dhonis. This Kaul sounds like a batsman who can keep a bit. No good for tests. Has he been on any tours lol no, he has most wicket keeper dismissals this season and was always a keeper.
Magneto Posted January 10, 2013 Posted January 10, 2013 Uday Kaul's first aim should be to get into the North Zone squad. Both in Deodhar and Duleep Trophy. Didn't manage that last year.
