Agree about pace mark. A swing bowler should at least bowl at 83-84 mph. Otherwise, we need find guys who can bowl 85 mph or above and let them develop accuracy, swing, and seam by working with coaches because developing pace is harder than learning swing and seam and to develop accuracy, you need a lot of methodical practice. I can see Dhawal is developing a bit and increasing his pace as well. I had seen him 1-2 years ago in an FC match and at that time he was bowling around 115-125KPH according to speed guns on Neo and this time when I saw him he was consistently over 130K with seam movement and I believe he can still increase his pace if he refines his landing a bit more which can easily be done if a bowling can identify and work on that. Other than Dhawal, we should look towards guys like Nechim, Shami, Shukla, Anwar Ahmead, Suyal, Shrikant Wagh, Dhudhat etc.
True, atleast that pace is needed for swing bowlers but along with swing/cutting abilities, experience is also needed to succeed at below 85 mph mark ---- knowing where to bowl to different batsmen as well as on different types of pitches and planning dismissals are essential for below 85 mph pacers.

Would love to see Rahul Shukla, Sudeep Tyagi and Pawan Suyal come back to their full rhythm, especially Suyal. Nechim's debut is overdue. Looking at his CLT20 form, he should have been selected for the Tri-series ahead of VK. I think BCCI has the ICL hangover still. What an unprofessional bunch. Hope someone like Anwar Ahmed is given a chance in the Duleep Trophy-If he can bowl at a decent pace his height will really be an advantage. Wonder what happended to the List of fast bowlers BCCI was supposed to prepare?

What is Anwar Ahmed's pace ?

True. A really tall pacer creates the same discomfort to the batsmen at 3/ 4 kph lesser pace than an average height bowler.
correction.. you have exceptions and the name is ISHANTTTTTTTT :finger::finger:

Anwar Ahmed is a left hander,also he along with Gony, Dinda, Tyagi, Nechim is the best bowling talent we have currently, Suyal , Shukla, Shami being wildcards, as htye all have pace.Kulkarni, Harshal, Rituraj, Chahar, are pedestrian in terms of pace bowling 125 to 130 k"s.:sherlock:

He is very similar to Ishant Sharma. 6'3 height. Bowls incutters like Ishant use to bowl at the start of his career. Tyagi's speeds are also good when he is in rhythm, he bowls around 140s. Another Ishant type fast bowler is Ishwar Choudhary who also have all the qualities mentioned above. He is also 6'4. He needs to increase his pace a lil bit. He bowls around 135

Tyagi is around 6'3" hign arm action , I have seen him bowl in the 140 s, he can move the ball away as well as bring it in, he gets good bounce and is a skillful bowler.It is a shame that bowlers like Gony, Tyagi, Dinda, who are miles ahead of VK, Mithun not getting a chance.Selectors in India have thru history been bad at selecting pacers and specially the right ones in the right format.All these bowlers can bowl at 140's , have skills to seam , swing, stamina, Gony, Tyagi being 6 3" plus, Dinda shorter but skiddier, can swing , seam , reverse, and a trier.All have been very successful in Ranji games also last 3 years.:whack: to the selectors. {

Ishwar Choudhury is way slower , I have seen quite a few of his domestic games, he bowls low 120's, Tyagi bowled at 140s regularly, has very good wrist action, he was over bowled in his record breaking Ranji debut season, came back did well again, was tried and discarded for couple of useless ODI'S, guess where OZ are better then us, as they know how to back and identify potential lol, VK ,PK, Mithun are not even in the same class, it is a joke.

^ out of all Manpreet Gony is the best prospect in my opinion. He is fast' date=' big 6'5 and bowls out-swingers[/quote'] I agree selectors have to be blind, Gony is the best bowler we have in domestic cricket , is very tall, strong action, can seam, also is experienced.

Yea, I agree with you, he usually bowls around 120-130s but sometimes when he is in good mood and jab chayanprash kha ke aata hai then sometimes he bowls 130-140. I have seen him bowling at that speed with my own 'aankhen' bro

is there any young bowler in India who can swing like how Starc did.. any body who can bowl at an average speed of 135+ would be great? How is Harshal Patel.. can we groom him like stuart broad or starc?

I have seen him bowling at that speed with my own 'aankhen' bro[/quote'] Two things my pet peeves in cricket , player batting slowly not per teams needs to keep his average like Shastri, Manjrekar and bowler who doesn't bowl at his pace Munaf Patel, Sreesanth, Nehra, what is the point if Choudhury can bowl in 130 to 140 but generally bowls 125 to 130 which is sad and shocking, atleast Munaf bolwed in 140"s when he came in domestic.Varun, Umesh, Tyagi, Gony, Anwar Ahmed, Nechim, these are the players that I have seen make the batsmen jump or bat with some amount of fear, also have pace.I haven't seen Shukla, Suyal ,Shami bowl in a Ranji game yet.Take Pankaj Singh he bowls in 130"s he tries hard, with the new bowling coach Pringle and his knee injury recovery I see more potential with him then a trundler Choudhury who under bowls as far as pace is concerned.I do not doubt he can bowl high 140's but everytime I saw him this season he bowled 125 to 128 k's,India has enough talent just UP, Bihar and those states can give us 4 or more fast bowlers if talent was tapped.
