carnish Posted December 7, 2011 Posted December 7, 2011 well done to your logic, two teams who haven't won a test series for an eternity will overtake pakistan in a year:two_thumbs_up:, russell is just another pollard, bravo and edwards are just following in the footsteps of the likes of jesse ryder, average batsman filling their boots with runs playing in india. west indies have a long way to go to even go past sri lanka, even in odis if the WC is to taken as some kind pointer. and new zealand's test side is just a walking dead XI, maybe in odis they will be their and abouts west indies and new zealand also struggle financially, where money plays a bigger role in them sustaining quality players than the countries with more money or larger pool of players to pick from. Alas some logic... :two_thumbs_up:
Karan114 Posted December 7, 2011 Posted December 7, 2011 WI have a better bowling line up than a lot of countries. Batting needs some work but they are moving in the right direction. Test attack: Sammy - average 30 Rampaul - average 34 Bishoo - average 36 Edwards - average 37 Not really that great.
carnish Posted December 7, 2011 Posted December 7, 2011 Test attack: Sammy - average 30 Rampaul - average 34 Bishoo - average 36 Edwards - average 37 Not really that great. Atleast they are consistent:--D
Manny_Pacquiao Posted December 7, 2011 Posted December 7, 2011 well done to your logic, two teams who haven't won a test series for an eternity will overtake pakistan in a year:two_thumbs_up:, russell is just another pollard, bravo and edwards are just following in the footsteps of the likes of jesse ryder, average batsman filling their boots with runs playing in india. west indies have a long way to go to even go past sri lanka, even in odis if the WC is to taken as some kind pointer. and new zealand's test side is just a walking dead XI, maybe in odis they will be their and abouts west indies and new zealand also struggle financially, where money plays a bigger role in them sustaining quality players than the countries with more money or larger pool of players to pick from. well the pakis hadnt won a test series for FOUR YEARS until they beat NZ a few months ago, so i dont see how thats relevant. sri lanka havent won a test series in more than 2 years either. these 4 teams are all as crap as each other. west indies and pakistan drew 1-1, in fact west indies should have won that series because they were the dominant team over 2 tests. so there is very little separating the two. i like the younger players in NZ and WI a lot more than the ones in pakistan, who are still using crap players like farhat, hafeez, gul, afridi etc. and have no good captaincy or coaching. there is more potential there and they will easily move up the rankings past pakistan once they play some equal opposition.
the don Posted December 7, 2011 Posted December 7, 2011 r. west indies and pakistan drew 1-1, in fact west indies should have won that series because they were the dominant team over 2 tests. so there is very little separating the two. . :hysterical::hysterical::hysterical: pakistan lost a close test on a lottery wicket , whereas won the second test convincingly. domination would be pakistans record against india or what england did to india this summer.
phaedrus Posted December 8, 2011 Posted December 8, 2011 they have the ingredients. there needs to be consistency in selection and a long term vision. the board has neither which is the biggest problem in their cricket.
Stuge Posted December 8, 2011 Posted December 8, 2011 Yes ,West Indies is playing good ,but Performance of Indian team have gone down the barrel too .Pathetic cricket from them .
Jersey #10 Posted December 8, 2011 Posted December 8, 2011 I see them as an emerging side full of young blood and less of the old dimwits. I won't be surprised if they are in top 3 in next 5 years. in odis that is
bulbul Posted December 8, 2011 Posted December 8, 2011 WI is really bad..... When they won Champions trophy in 2004 everyone thought they are improved...but its just a false dawn... They have to play consistantly well for couple of years and produce good results...
deathmonger Posted December 8, 2011 Posted December 8, 2011 :hysterical::hysterical::hysterical: pakistan lost a close test on a lottery wicket , whereas won the second test convincingly. domination would be pakistans record against india or what england did to india this summer. domination would be what australia has done to pakistan in recent times. i mean, four consecutive whitewashes? :hysterical::hysterical::hysterical::hysterical::hysterical: at least we won against england in the previous two series, both home and away. also india's record against pakistan in world cups is called domination and india against pakistan in recent times.
the don Posted December 8, 2011 Posted December 8, 2011 : also india's record against pakistan in world cups is called domination and india against pakistan in recent times. the world cup wins included the record stands at 69-47. recent times ?? pakistan vs india head to head in the last 10 years pakistan 22, india 20 :hysterical::hysterical::hysterical: your school has no idea what domination means , for a better defination see pakistan vs india stats:cantstop:
ali0786 Posted December 8, 2011 Posted December 8, 2011 domination would be what australia has done to pakistan in recent times. i mean' date= four consecutive whitewashes? :hysterical::hysterical::hysterical::hysterical::hysterical: at least we won against england in the previous two series, both home and away. also india's record against pakistan in world cups is called domination and india against pakistan in recent times. We just drew a test series against them last year in England 1-1. And it wasn't on those batting paradise wickets, it was in conditions more suited to Australia than Pakistan.

And it wasn't on those batting paradise wickets' date=' it was in conditions more suited to Australia than Pakistan.[/quote'] still lost four series 3-0. who gets whitewashed against the same team so often other than bangladesh.

MCcricket Posted December 12, 2011 Posted December 12, 2011 W I needs to play Gayle, Sarwan, Jerome Taylor, Naraine, Edwards, Roach,Rampaul, Andre Russel, Keiron Powell,Chanders, Ramdin, Dwayne Bravo, Darren Bravo,Barath,Nash ??, this team has potential, their team selections, admin is poor,
Speedlover Posted December 12, 2011 Posted December 12, 2011 Bring Chris Gayle back to WI team and they have to get some wins under their belt. They have all the resources, just needs to find a winning formula
Viki_J Posted December 12, 2011 Posted December 12, 2011 Yes very bad but just that every time a Bad team plays against India they start to look much better . good1
