Are too flat pitches good for Indian cricket?

actually he only played 2 matches and i think rkt posted cric info speeds of first match 29 out of 36 bows he bowled were over 140.. and he was hitting 145 easily next match was bad for him but still he was better than mithun he is raw.. thats why u want to play him so he can get better yadav was same against england did ya saw that series? he improved only now thats why i said potentially

That's not even a doubt. Most of the FC bowlers would be better than Mithun. I watched parts of Ranji game between Haryana and Rajasthan IIRC and likes of Deepak Chahar, Pankaj Singh and a tall left arm pacer (can't remember his name) all looked better than what I've seen of Mithun.

According to lahori logic our batsmen scored runs because of flat track so what about our bowling then?? We are the real power house of bowling in world cricket. Look what our bowlers are doing on the flattest pitch ever laid.:dance:

for heaven sake it was a flat pitch the last pair scored 64 runs in nearly 10 overs. the WI lost wickets due to forcing the pace and scoreboard pressure. It happens to many teams. Does not mean the pitch was not a road. and its not about emerging from any cave. People do have to work ya know... and i dont think its a statistical oddity. the curator for this pitch is probably the same person who prepares pitches for the MP cricket association. Its extremely odd that we get another 200 when India play in MP. Last time we played Sachin got a 200. What next Gambhir gets a 200 when we play there again? Take nothing away from Sehwag. He was fantastic and probably added 50 runs to the score Idnia would have reached. Even the commentators and Sehwag said the batting conditions are very good plus the boundaries small

50 yards or 45 meters is an extremely small boundary. Kudos to sehwag cause scoring a double century is hard anyday on any ground. But the issue is the flatness of the pitch.

It was coz we let them score at the end. If we wanted we could have ended it sooner by unleashing Mithun and Vinay at the Windies tail.

we got our balanced pitches due in cuttuck, and ahmedabad... why do we have to have all the pitches as balanced?? Do Saffers play on all balanced pitches?? No.. they prepare green tops for their bowlers so let us make some pattas for our batters...

and do they benefit from it? have they ever produced a good standard spinner in their history? They basically imported Tahir from Pakistan. Johan Botha is a ok spinner. Not quality. If you ask me, i think he chucks. but Adams Harris and a whole host of others have never been good enough. I read the Australian review of the ashes and in that the said lack of a spinner was a big issue so they would make pitches more spin friendly. even against Nz they backed lyon with a wicket which spun on day one. Thats despite the opposition having Vettori.

its WI for heaven sake. If you dont do it against them who would you do it against? Against pakistan any loss will be a huge blow to the team. I would rather they win v Pakistan regardless of what pitches are made.
