I'm curious.. why did you choose the HTC one over the HTC butterfly S???
Not available through any plan here in the US as yet I did want to consider your option though but an unlocked phone sells for 700 USD

Don't worry u made good choice as its flagship it will get all the updates first and also u will enjoy lots of modding on xda ..

Yes' date=' thats the point. [b']There is a lot of difference.. you might not feel it with iOS but its there. It has double the l1 cache (this is huge!), some crazy branch prediction, much better memory prefetching, double the general purpose registers, double the floating point registers, a much cleaner instruction set architecture (this is a BIG BIG DEAL.. its got a new ISA for god's sake!) etc. I guess when NVIDIA and Qualcomm come out with ARMv8 (their implementation of it.. next year...), that time you'll see the difference... Right now I feel I'm trying to have a conversation with a wall. I donno, maybe I can't just get my point across. I'm least bothered to sit and try to explain it in such a way that everyone would understand... I dont think I'm even capable of doing that.. So I guess you can believe what you wanna believe.
Thats the point .Really for phones i feel we will have too much power with little to show off.Like the craze was for 8 core ,6 core cpus year back.But performance gains in real world were not worth the cost.I would like to see what the a6 does in retina ipad .

HTC One Review : Please bear in mind that I am not a gizmo freak nor am I reviewing this phone from a specifications perspective. My review here is based solely on user experience without knowing about those 0s & 1s within that all you intelligent people talk about. Appearance and design: This phone could easily be the best looking phone on the market.The aluminum unibody reminds me of the Macbooks that first hit the market in 2008 . The build quality is phenomenal bar none and the first thing that you crosses your mind when you pick it up is about how you'd do well not to drop the phone. The phone itself is more heavier than the iPhone yet it feels assured in your hand and secures itself naturally within your grip. While the build is great, I have a minor quibble about the location of the "Menu" button .It is placed right at the top and one needs to hold the phone rather oddly in order to click it, that is ,with the index finger rather than the thumb (were it to be placed at the bottom where the "htc" logo is visible). The rest of the buttons "Home","Back" and the ones for volume are perfect . Display: Gorgeous in a word.The display seems to be on par with the latest iPhone5 but since the screen on this is bigger,the overall experience on this is better. I guess after a certain point on the technology curve,there are things the naked eye cannot distinguish anyways. Performance : The capacitive buttons feel very responsive to the touch and the scrolling is insane. I haven't been able to see any lags in the limited time that I have had it. The pinch and scrolling gestures work as expected. Battery: I used this phone continuously in the "Power Saver" mode playing videos,music,scrolling and downloading apps the entire morning yesterday and was down to 10% by 6PM.So about 7-8 hours of mostly non stop usage then. While this hardly gives any inkling about the battery consumption,I know that my previous iPhone would have died on me by then. Lets just say that it is much better than what I have been used to previously. Audio: Two front facing speakers and the sound quality on this phone is absolutely amazing and the best I have heard on a phone yet. The sound coming out of this phone is crisp and I did not hear any distortion at higher volumes.The Beats audio imparts a rich bass and the phone is speaker mode itself sounds great. Photos: I took similar pictures with the iPhone 5C (purchased on the same day for the wife) and the HTC one and really could not discern much in conditions with sufficient light but I found that pictures were more natural in low light conditions.I found the Zoe feature (that allows you to record moving pictures and select the best pictures ) great . The OS and HTC Sense: Now I do not know where Android ends and HTC Sense begins, but there are a few cool features like the keyboard that offers multiple spelling options and Blinkfeed that allows you to set news options for your homescreen.The overall experience is good since you can embed widgets (Gmail for example) and scroll your mail on your screen without actually opening up the app.There are a few minor annoyances with AT & T pushing some bloatware (4-5 apps) that cannot be deleted from the phone though. I am still exploring the OS and learning the ropes on this one . Working with this phone in the Apple eco-system: It wasn't difficult like I had imagined. On connecting the phone to my macbook, all my purchased music was transferred to my new phone. Apple TV remote app from the play store enables me to control my Apple TV while the AppleTVMedia Player allows me to stream video content to my TV (not as seamlessly as the Airplay but it works).The Remote app that comes installed with the phone allows me to control my TV and Cable Box so thats a welcome addition (some cost savings on AAs) Final thoughts: This phone is definitely a keeper and all my fears about moving away from the Apple eco-system have been alleviated. It rivals the iPhone5 in every which way and in some cases does better.

@yoda i agree with everything even my phone is always on powersaving as its so over powered ! one good tip if ur using it outside and have trouble with reading screen turn off power saving of screen ..it is as bright as iphone of not more and screen is better in every way :winky: battery wise newest iphone will be better but that is fair trade off with bigger screen also keep in mind with android 4.2.2 update and as battery matures u will see some more increase in battery life :)

one tip to improve battery would be to disable location tracking in maps.. also in chrome if u use it (better down it is not as good as stock browser ) disable tilt scrolling in setting-> developer options . now if u get one black bar at bottom in some apps there is way to solve that as well in settings(but only in android 4.2.2 ) so tell me which version u unlucky amreeka people are :P

easily...in 4.2.2 its even faster and more buttery than safari on iphone 5 chrome takes huge battery and still is not as smooth..(chrome beta is much better but even it hits battery badly )
