Sachin=GOD Posted July 3, 2014 Posted July 3, 2014 Moto's flagship will be similar to Nexus 6. Or Nexus 6 will be Moto's flagship. :giggle: http://bgr.com/2014/01/30/lenovo-motorola-nexus-6-smartphone-tablet/ Would be really great it its true.
Sachin=GOD Posted July 3, 2014 Posted July 3, 2014 Though i am using slimkat rom but Exposed framework is really useful :nice: Xposed was mainly developed for MTK Chipset based mobile where source code/drivers weren't released for devs to develop custom roms. So using Xpose framework + root on a MTK device, users can instal required custom rom features desperately and later releases Xposed started to support all devices Yes. Xposed framework is the way forward in android development...especially for Samsung devices. its innovation in hacking :hatsoff: These days there's more innovation happening in Android Development than in many stand alone OSs :nice:
Detonator Posted July 3, 2014 Posted July 3, 2014 apps are same on both there are some developers pushing platform to its limit but even they do not lag ..also games are not good example..i told u last year too adreno 320 is as good as gpu in iphone 5 and recently flagship devices have had better gpus then apple which has happened first time in history games run according to hardware so if you have latest and greatest u iwll get more detail and lower end it will show less detail maybe you are pointing to this ? i am talking about normal apps ..just download pocketcast ,talon ,reddit sync ..properly made apps whch rival best of best in ios Hardware, on paper Android devices are much advanced. Iphone scores in software with inferior hardware. I detail and shader levels are best in IOS for games like Real racing, modern combat and infinity blade 2. Yes, android has better pixels but the gameplay, texture and shader details are better in my brother's i5s. as u said for normal apps there isn't much difference. However, face book app is the only small app that's better in ios than android. Browers which are not named safari sucks in ios.

Old guy Posted July 3, 2014 Posted July 3, 2014 Since discussions here are about development now a days check this out Really good read and some funny bits http://rustyshelf.org/2014/07/01/io-thoughts/ how insular and superior a lot of Apple developers act and feel. If you don’t believe me, just join a group of them at WWDC and whip out your Android phone. Within moments, you’ll wish you had whipped out something less offensive, like your genitalia instead..
velu Posted July 3, 2014 Posted July 3, 2014 there are more iPhone users in my team than sammy or lg users
StriKe Posted July 3, 2014 Posted July 3, 2014 there are more iPhone users in my team than sammy or lg users I knew it ! You're working for Apple not Samsung :yay:

velu Posted July 3, 2014 Posted July 3, 2014 I knew it ! You're working Apple not Samsung :yay: i would love to work for apple .. i m a loyal apple fan . iPod nano is my first apple product and i was really really impressed by it.. then bought macbook .. 7 yrs old and my brother is using it now .. lookwise its as good as new and specwise not much has improved in laptop phase :icflove: even in sasmung HQ , many koreans use iPhones ..

I settled this thread long back !!! :orderorder: I must say that for a long time that wasn't the case but since KitKat or maybe the later versions of Jelly Bean, Android has easily beaten iOS. And it L its going to reach new levels of integration across various screens - and it will do it much better than Apple. So yes, most certainly Android>iOS.

I settled this thread long back !!! :orderorder: when you buy apple , you pay for its services .. iPhone 4 was released in 2010 and it got iOS 7 update in 2014 .. apple couldnt provide updates to iPhone 3GS and older because of platform limitations.. other than nexus series, even flagships wont get this kind of service .. even some of the galaxy s3 wont get kitkat update :hehe: android is like linux os .. local ***** .. any OEMs can bang it an pimp it .. iPhones are like windows .. closely controlled and better managed android and customizations are overrated .. not even 5% of the users will root it

velu Posted July 3, 2014 Posted July 3, 2014 I must say that for a long time that wasn't the case but since KitKat or maybe the later versions of Jelly Bean, Android has easily beaten iOS. And it L its going to reach new levels of integration across various screens - and it will do it much better than Apple. So yes, most certainly Android>iOS. in what sense android > iOS ?? actually kitkat is a stripped down version of JB .. many resident services and some modules are stripped and placed to application space to increase performance.. iOS 7 runs smoothly with 1GB RAM but not so smooth like iOS 6 .. iOS with 2GB RAM will bring the smoothness level back ..
velu Posted July 3, 2014 Posted July 3, 2014 Thats changing now. More older devices are set to get L than in case of any other Android update. its impossible .. its only a namesake announcement and sort of politicians promise .. for example if i am not wrong , apple has a dedicated team working on os upgrades and hardly they support 10 devices , but I GUESS there is no dedicated team working on upgrades in samsung .. if you know what i mean .. :winky:
velu Posted July 3, 2014 Posted July 3, 2014 i read that gsmarena thread posted by velu i am with him on that topic and agree with his comments but dont troll me because of them :P there are dumb people everywhere i usually go offensive versus android guys esp against *** .... :giggle: i have my own doubts that bloggers are paid handsomely ( they get free devices anyway ) by the OEMs and many gets paid for posting tooo .. this advertisement strategy is called astroturfing :cantstop:
Sachin=GOD Posted July 3, 2014 Posted July 3, 2014 in what sense android > iOS ?? actually kitkat is a stripped down version of JB .. many resident services and some modules are stripped and placed to application space to increase performance.. iOS 7 runs smoothly with 1GB RAM but not so smooth like iOS 6 .. iOS with 2GB RAM will bring the smoothness level back .. Here are a few reasons: Homescreen - I like having a homescreen on my phone bcoz its very convenient. iOS does not have that and will probably not have it for many years to come. iTunes. I HATE having to first transfer stuff into formats that apple will support and then transfer it to my iPhone using iTunes. In Android I can just connect to the Laptop and tranfer whatever I want -much, much more convenient and easy. You can set your default email app, default browser, msg app, camera app, maps, calender etc in Android. iOS doesn't allow any of that AFAIK. Apple STILL does not allow bluetooth transfer of files from devices other than Apple. You might say that not many ppl use it but the reality is that a LOT of ppl still use this feature. Homescrren widgets - many of them are extremely useful. iOS has only now allowed thrid party widgets but only in the notification panel. So its still not the same or not as good as Homescreen widgets on Android. Ok Google voice search - extremely, extremely useful (at least for me). And now it can be used from any screen, and not just the homescreen. And Ok Google is better and more accurate than Siri in everything. Customization - without even rooting the device ppl can change a LOT of stuff. And yes, a lot of ppl do use launchers etc. Google Now. It is awesome and iOS has nothing like it. its impossible .. its only a namesake announcement and sort of politicians promise .. for example if i am not wrong , apple has a dedicated team working on os upgrades and hardly they support 10 devices , but I GUESS there is no dedicated team working on upgrades in samsung .. if you know what i mean .. :winky: L will come to more older devices. When its launched you can check.

Kalia_Test Posted July 3, 2014 Posted July 3, 2014 Some good discussion happening...Can someone pls advise me on the below. 1. I have Samsung Galaxy S4 ( the Exynos one ) and have added 32 GB mSD card. I bought it about an year back on a promotional deal and had got it for about 35K. My usage is generally work e-mail,Lync and bit of browsing, Flipboard, Cricinfo, etc for which it is more than handy and running great.I also like very good photos and it is doing fine there too. However recently, my 4 and a half year son is hijacking my phone and is playing Asphalt 8, GT Racing2,etc. These are heavy games. I have not noticed any lag but in absence of any comparison, I am not sure if it is running the games as well as latest flagships. 2. Now the question - I can afford latest flagships like Z2,G3,S5 or M8 or even iPhone 5S but am wondering if it worth upgrading just an year old phone. Is it better to spend the money on some decent Tablet ( I experimented couple of years back on a cheap Lava tablet - Z7H but it was very low end) on which my son can play games? If yes, any good suggestions?
