Old guy Posted August 3, 2014 Posted August 3, 2014 dont have any SD 800++ device :(( will check that in S5 tomorrow ( but have only exynos S5 ) i initially tried the same feture using light sensor and it was ready .. then i realized that this feature using light sensor wont work in the dark :giggle: :cantstop: U also need some special access to chip which only manufacturers have ..but consider this feature like moto x has and it needs special chip and only sd 800 and above support it in mainstream
velu Posted August 3, 2014 Posted August 3, 2014 Try acdisplay notification with lockscreen . i am directly registering for the sensor events ..
Yoda-esque Posted August 3, 2014 Posted August 3, 2014 lol I told u it will take power :winky: Now do this...try to implement it on sd 800 device using special feature of that chip :--D Shabby,do you run a mobile shop as side dhandaa?

Sachin=GOD Posted August 4, 2014 Posted August 4, 2014 Micromax beats Samsung, becomes India's No. 1 mobile vendor NEW DELHI: Micromax has overtaken Samsung to become the largest mobile phone supplier in India in Q2 2014, according to independent market research and consulting firm, CounterPoint Research. As per the report, Micromax's handset shipments share was 16.6% in the quarter while Samsung's share was 14.4%. This is the first time that Samsung has been displaced from the pole position. Nokia was at the third position with a 10.9% shipments share, followed by domestic brands Karbonn and Lava which had a 9.5% and 5.6% share, respectively. In terms of smartphone shipments, Samsung still retains the top slot with a 25.3% shipments share in the second quarter. Micromax is closing the gap with 19.1% share, followed by Karbonn, Motorola and Nokia. http://timesofindia.indiatimes.com/tech/tech-news/Micromax-beats-Samsung-becomes-Indias-No-1-mobile-vendor-Report/articleshow/39630245.cms Incredible. Its risen so much in such a short time :hatsoff: hope they focus more on innovation now instead of just trying to copy global brands.
velu Posted August 4, 2014 Posted August 4, 2014 ^^ one hour back my team mate sent me the same message .. proud of micromax :icflove: eventhough they anufactire and assemble everyting in china .. requirements , designs and sales strategy plays more important than who is manufacturing it.. 5 or 6 years back carbon used to operate in 3 star hotel inside diamond district ..
Sachin=GOD Posted August 4, 2014 Posted August 4, 2014 If they don't bring something like this now, the market share would fall further.............or maybe its a case of too little, too late :hmmm:
Sachin=GOD Posted August 4, 2014 Posted August 4, 2014 Meanwhile, Samsung's woes continue: Xiaomi Passes Samsung as China's Top Phonemaker http://www.businessweek.com/articles/2014-08-04/xiaomi-passes-samsung-as-chinas-top-phonemaker

Big trouble for Samsung, HTC, LG, Sony etc. Samsung's image has taken a beating because their entire lineup for the last few years is just Plastic and that just looks and feels cheap irrespective of the specs - they've got to move to metal very fast otherwise their market share will continue to fall.

Kalia_Test Posted August 4, 2014 Posted August 4, 2014 Geeks on this thread...maybe you can help me... LG G3 is on my watchlist for when it drops below 38K or so in a few months...Is it true that the QHD screen needs Snapdragon 805 for better battery optimization? It is shipping with 801 currently....do you know of instances where flagships are updated to newer processors/SoCs before new flagships? I heard that S4 had a SD 800 model later ( it initially came with SD 600 in US and Exynos in India )... Will LG release an 805 model for G3 or it will be there only for G4?
