kiran83cricfan Posted December 8, 2011 Posted December 8, 2011 Highest wicket taker this ranji season - Player-----------Mat--Inns--Overs--Mdns--Runs--Wkts----BBI---BBM----Ave---Econ--SR--5--10 TP Sudhindra---4*----8-----161.4---40-----395----24-----6/60--9/93---16.45--2.44--40.4-2--0 Fantastic carrier record for a pace bowler in India - -----------------Mat--Inns--Balls---Runs--Wkts---BBI-----BBM------Ave----Econ----SR---4--5--10 First-class------21----36---4443---1865---79----6/49---10/128----23.60---2.51---56.2--7--3--1 List A-----------15----15----733-----588---24----4/53----4/53------24.50---4.81---30.5--2--0--0 Twenty20------23----23----543-----563---32-----5/30----5/30-----17.59---6.22---16.9--1--1--0 (All stats from cricinfo) As any other indian cricket fan who wishes to see good pace bowlers in the team, I think he should be discussed... I havent seen him bowl though!
Stuge Posted December 8, 2011 Posted December 8, 2011 stats doesn't state the speed at which he bowls ,if he is like Vinay koomar etc ..then NO .. thank you .
gakgupta Posted December 9, 2011 Posted December 9, 2011 already 28 years....for pace bowler, he is too old to make a debut
MCcricket Posted December 9, 2011 Posted December 9, 2011 LOL he is such a trundler actually a step below a trundler he makes Mithun look time Thomson, bowl 115 k's, ugly actions, worst then Narwal even lol.
rkt.india Posted December 9, 2011 Posted December 9, 2011 He is a good bowler, not fast but hits good line and length and can move the ball both ways. Also it shows that how vulnerable our domestic batsmen are if ball moves an inch even if bowler is bowling at 120K.
Needforspeed Posted December 9, 2011 Posted December 9, 2011 I am sure that other Test playing nations too have trudlers doing well in their domestic circuit. But how many are even considered for International selection? Look at South Africa, England, South Africa, Pakistan etc even the all rounders are not trudlers.

saneindian Posted December 9, 2011 Posted December 9, 2011 Anyone over Mithun right now. There are far too many technical issues with Mithun's action and he should be playing domestic cricket ad work on his action, release, landing etc.
Sidhoni Posted December 9, 2011 Posted December 9, 2011 MP bowler :aha: Can make useful runs down the order as well, his partnership with Ishwar Pandey is great
Magneto Posted December 9, 2011 Posted December 9, 2011 MP bowler :aha: Can make useful runs down the order as well, his partnership with Ishwar Pandey is great No one can hit sixes the way Mithun can! Excepting agarkar! :hmmm:
kiran83cricfan Posted December 9, 2011 Author Posted December 9, 2011 LOL he is such a trundler actually a step below a trundler he makes Mithun look time Thomson' date=' bowl 115 k's, ugly actions, worst then Narwal even lol.[/quote'] oh, wow.. with all this , he surely has skills to survive or even excel at that level as a professional cricketer.. :--D
1983-2011 Posted December 16, 2011 Posted December 16, 2011 how good is this guy? 23 First-class Matches 98 Wickets 21.50 Average 51.8 Strike Rate :hmmm:
Tendya Posted December 16, 2011 Posted December 16, 2011 In Cricinfo, he is listed as Right Arm Fast (might be a mistake though) I think he is the only one from India, as generally most Indians are listed as medium/medium-fast, a few like Umesh Yadav are Fast Medium Anyways, he has been too good, 28 wickets in his last 3 Ranji Matches, atleast he would be better than VK and Mithun:((
G_B_ Posted December 16, 2011 Posted December 16, 2011 in a sense i dont know why we dismiss trundlers outright we won the 1983 WC cause of trundlers like Amarnath
Jersey #10 Posted December 17, 2011 Posted December 17, 2011 he's a fast running long run up spinner he can make afridi look like a phaast bowler
CoverDrive Posted December 17, 2011 Posted December 17, 2011 ^ Because Trundlers on their own do not win you Test Matches or series.
rkt.india Posted December 17, 2011 Posted December 17, 2011 he's a fast running long run up spinner he can make afridi look like a phaast bowler :giggle:
saneindian Posted December 17, 2011 Posted December 17, 2011 5 matches, 34 wickets@15 for him now. Not sure the kid of speeds he has been bowling at, in Challenger trophy he was around 128-133, and was getting a lot of movement.
