What will be the impact of NZ drawing test series in Australia? If India defeated Australia then people will say that even NZ defeated this Australia so not a big deal and if India looses then it will like that even NZ defeated this Australia but India can't.

Well it means one thing- we won't be playing weak easy meat players like Hughes, so thats one downside for India. If we won today its possible the selectors would've overlooked the bad form of Hughes, Usman, Ponting, Hussey, Haddin, Starc. Heads will roll now, especially with Watson and Marsh coming back, Hughes will be dropped, and Usman, but really Hussey has been so bad in the last two series along with Ponting, we are in some deep trouble, the Indians will destroy us, as i have been saying for ages now on this forum. Australia just keep plunging into new depths, 47 all out, now losing a test to NZ, in our backyard, which can't get more embarrassing, seeing as NZ really aren't a good side, shows how incredibly dire we are right now. India to hammer us.

It is very vulnerable.

Australia will be stronger against us with Watson' date=' Marsh, and Harris back.[/quote'] Yes they will be stronger but at present only name that matters is Watson, Marsh and Harris have yet to establish themselves in tests

what are you talking about? Marsh is as estalished as it can get, was their best batsmen in the matches he played and same is Harris. He may be injured but he is as good a any fast bowler in the world whenever he plays as good as Styen, IMO. If Harris is fit, he will real threat for us.

Australia's defeat to New Zealand is bad for us. Australia will weed out all the week links in their team. Watson, Marsh and Harris will be back. Bollinger is also available for selection. Our bowling backup of V.K and Mithun is crap. Our batsmen will be peppered with a barrage of short stuff and they have an 140K+ attack. They are going to take extra efforts to take advantage of home conditions to prepare pitches to suit their bowlers.

Before we had toured England, SL gave te Poms a pretty tough time according to their standards. We had thought that this would certainly help us as well, but what we saw was an epic :fail: I don't think this would have much impact on the outcome of the results of our series. We may see a few knee jerk reactions but it all boils down to the preparation and the cricket that would be played.

Marsh made a century on debut versus SL but then so did ... Suresh Raina. Before defeating us, England were doing similar things to Pak, Oz etc. Oz are nowhere that good.

iNDIA has a golden chance to win the test series, what a moment for the legnds, Our bowling batting, tail all look good, it will be battle of minds, mental strength, if Indian bowlers stay fit we will win.

they wont give you green tracks like this
on flat tracks their fast bowlers will be negated and we'll pile tons of runs and win. on green tracks we'll take them out for low totals and win. that is the problem when your bowling and batting strengths don't match as in the case of oz - good fast bowlers but can't play fast bowling. that's why india has a very good home record. our bowling and batting strengths match. we have good spinners and batsmen who play spin so we can rely on turning tracks at home.

dunno about india, but definitely good for us. hope india beat aussies (which i think they will, just a question of margin) we beat or at least draw england, and we move into 4th

Duuuude, we are NOT playing at home!! Rob you would be surprised how badly India can suck at overseas! Granted the Aussies are weak, but we are weakerer (??). :D I predict: 1. Zak will break down towards the beginning of the tour. 2. Sehwag will flop proving he is merely a STB, a great one albeit. 3. SRT will keep searching for his 100th ton all through thereby it being a distraction and not being able to contribute. 4. Dravid's run will end. 5. Only VVS will perform. 6. Dhobi will fail as usual. 7. Pissant will be bowling too much because of Zakass unavailability thereby rendering him impotent. 8. Yadav will be overwhelmed by the occasion. 9. Gambhir's poor form will continue. 10. Kohli will be bounced out. 11. Spinners will not be effective except Sydney. Did I miss anyone? :two_thumbs_up:
