CoverDrive Posted December 15, 2011 Posted December 15, 2011 I see that Ishant stopped bowling halfway in between an over and Ojha took over. also some guys on twitter also saying that He is injured and he has left the field ( I hope this is precautionary but it is not encouraging at all
Karan114 Posted December 15, 2011 Posted December 15, 2011 http://www.smh.com.au/sport/cricket/sharma-forced-from-field-in-tour-game-20111215-1ovs8.html Fast bowler Ishant Sharma came from the field twice during the first session of India’s tour match against a Chairman’s XI side in Canberra today. India broke through for a second wicket before the interval to have the Chairman’s team 2-53 at lunch on the first day of the two-day contest at Manuka Oval. There was no word from the Indian camp on whether Sharma is struggling with an injury or the measures are purely precautionary. Sharma bowled the first over of the match before leaving the field, and appeared to look at the Indian physiotherapist and point to his foot. The 23-year-old didn’t appear hampered at all when he returned to the action a few overs later and resumed bowling. However, the more alarming moment came three balls into his sixth over and about half an hour before lunch, when Sharma took his hat from the umpire and walked off.
Raghav_12 Posted December 15, 2011 Posted December 15, 2011 That news should cause some worry. More details?
surajmal Posted December 15, 2011 Posted December 15, 2011 probably had to go take a crap pronto. Ishant seems like someone who deals with indigestion and upset stomach often.
Manny_Pacquiao Posted December 15, 2011 Posted December 15, 2011 LOL. I'll bet any sum of money that the team will downplay anything that happened, sugar coat any injury (much like they did in ingerlund) to stop the media and public from panicking. i just hope they have the sense to send him home and fly in a replacement ASAP. in england they kept zaheer khan in the team for months - even though they knew he was injured - before sending him back home. indian cricket is run by stooges
Old guy Posted December 15, 2011 Posted December 15, 2011 if they are gonna do same mistakes they really dont deserve to win lol
zep1706 Posted December 15, 2011 Posted December 15, 2011 probably had to go take a crap pronto. Ishant seems like someone who deals with indigestion and upset stomach often. :hysterical::hysterical::hysterical:
cowboysfan Posted December 15, 2011 Posted December 15, 2011 this should once and for all convince BCCI never to take players word on injuries, just assume they are all lying or in denial.
Old guy Posted December 15, 2011 Posted December 15, 2011 well it isnt confirmed it was probably not serious.. thats why he came back once but maybe dont wanna chance it>?
CG Posted December 15, 2011 Posted December 15, 2011 With him goes the series as our third seamer is worthless.
zep1706 Posted December 15, 2011 Posted December 15, 2011 He wouldn't leave the field in the middle of an over if it wasn't serious and the CA live commentary clearly says he's broken down :(
peterparker Posted December 15, 2011 Posted December 15, 2011 what the hell is this now this bowler said that i am fit now./ and suddenly leaves the field bowling just 5.3 overs.. now again we need to see 100 kmph bowlers who would be getting clobbered all round the parks.. this is why indian cricket sucks..focus is on batting only..not fast bowling. which is more important than batting
saneindian Posted December 15, 2011 Posted December 15, 2011 Amazing. Wake up BCCI and send at least 2 more pacers right away to Australia. Zaheer not playing this match is also suspicious, should have bowled as many overs as he could before the first test.
Ultimate_Game Posted December 15, 2011 Posted December 15, 2011 England tour and previous T20 fiasco all over again - players not fit and in the team carrying injuries. PK out, Zaheer unfit, Ishant already struggling, Aaron out. We may as well have a all-spin attack and send Rahul Sharma to Aus.
Needforspeed Posted December 15, 2011 Posted December 15, 2011 Deja Vu...Ishant comes back from England saying he needs surgery, then as if by magic he is Okay and now??
Sachin=GOD Posted December 15, 2011 Posted December 15, 2011 Amazing. Wake up BCCI and send at least 2 more pacers right away to Australia.
