Ultimate_Game Posted December 15, 2011 Posted December 15, 2011 With key players especially bowlers already injured (PK, Zak, Ishant), players carrying injuries in the squad (Zaheer and probably Ishant) and Indian team treating the practice game as a joke with most of the starters missing and already likes of Virat Kohli bowling it's clear we haven't learnt much from England fiasco, or the T20 Cup debacles where we had unfit players (Zaheer, Sehwag) in the squad. If Aus tour goes the same way as Eng tour did I guess we, the fans, will need to send out a stronger message to BCCI who don't really care about cricket and are only concerned about the bottomline. I guess we will need to stop watching cricket on TV and flocking to the stadiums. Hopefully this would get the message across to the likes of Srinivasans and Pawars.

Test cricket between India & Australia is big time cricket and any cricket played between two best teams is bound to evoke interest.. So, let's hope both Zak & Ishy will be available for Ist test. Umesh Yadav already tasted blood and we could be in a for a real humdinger of a series!

See, the problem is picking Irfan after ignoring him will be a major ego issue for the selectors and Dhoni, who have clearly shown where their affinity lies.

Irfan was one of the key players who did well when we won T20 Cup which kick-started Dhoni's captaincy. He should back Irfan instead of ensuring he doesn't get into the team.

What's with this attitude of declaring themselves fit despite having injuries and then not being able to play the match ? Its very selfish and reeks of lack of professionalism.

Dont get carried away by his 5 wicket haul in England. He got wickets because nobody else could as they were worse than him. Any bowler could have got 5 wickets there if he had bowled enough overs.
