Magneto Posted January 18, 2012 Posted January 18, 2012 Dinda and Suyal are in the good books of the selectors. Gony maybe. Anwar is still an Unknown quality..so maybe take some time. Tyagi, if he starts taking wickets. Abu Nechim-Strong prejudice against him due to 2 reasons. Assam Cricket Board and the East Zone selector, Raja Venkat dont get along and Nechim playing in the ICL There still seems to be an un-official black list for ICL players. He was not considered for the Irani Trophy or even the NKP Salve Challenger. Also doesn't help that Nechim's Ranji performance this year is not much to write about
Needforspeed Posted January 18, 2012 Posted January 18, 2012 Also doesn't help that Nechim's Ranji performance this year is not much to write about Considering that he is an one man attack for Assam, I would say it was reasonable. At least he was good enough to be in the Challenger Trophy. Not saying pick him for India immediatly, but let him feel he is in the scheme of things. Before his ICL stint he was considered a real prospect for India. I think ICL was one of the biggest mistakes he made (with the benefit of hindsight of course)
Old guy Posted January 18, 2012 Posted January 18, 2012 Also doesn't help that Nechim's Ranji performance this year is not much to write about yes.. but u dont select fast bowlers by performance i thought we all learnt this the hardway this year only good thing kumar did all year was.. to get dhoni banned..
rkt.india Posted January 18, 2012 Posted January 18, 2012 Also doesn't help that Nechim's Ranji performance this year is not much to write about He had 2 fifers in 4-5 matches and is one man bowling attack. No bowler would bowl any better without support form other end.
rkt.india Posted January 18, 2012 Posted January 18, 2012 Rahul Shukla is certainly looking quick in this delivery and the batsman who faced is Swapnil Asnodkar.
nsareen Posted January 18, 2012 Posted January 18, 2012 Rahul Shukla is certainly looking quick in this delivery and the batsman who faced is Swapnil Asnodkar. Looks normal to me!! saw his pictures on FB, his action is really funny..
rkt.india Posted January 18, 2012 Posted January 18, 2012 Looks normal to me!! saw his pictures on FB' date=' his action is really funny..[/quote'] watched the video? see the difference between him and others. Look how the ball hurried to the batsman. here. He has a strong action, is not looking anything funny here.
Needforspeed Posted January 18, 2012 Posted January 18, 2012 Hope he plays for MI this season. But with Abu Nechim already in the squad, he may not get many games.
chainsmoker1985 Posted January 18, 2012 Posted January 18, 2012 Rahul Shukla is certainly looking quick in this delivery and the batsman who faced is Swapnil Asnodkar. Asnodkar normally plays like that only, jumping and hopping around, like he has been hurried by the bowler. But, when I compared him to other bowlers, Y Krishnatry who usually bowls around 125-130 and A Singh, who was also sharp in his second ball, Rahul clearly stands out. There is certainly something in him. Now, we will have 2 see how he improves from here. With this action he seems to have the same problem which other faster bowlers of India normally have. Bowling short. :cantstop: But, that can be sorted out
MCcricket Posted January 18, 2012 Posted January 18, 2012 Iam not sure how Mumbai bowlers are selected, they are so mediocre, Sandu bowls 115 to 120 k's, Kshemal 117 to 125 k, Kulkarni 125 to 130 k lol, all shorter side.Look at the videos and u will see discards U Malvi and R SHAIKH BOWLING , THEY LOOK A LEVEL ABOVE THE FIRST TWO TRUNDLERS.
chainsmoker1985 Posted January 18, 2012 Posted January 18, 2012 He is a typical fast bowler that I dreams of. A tall strong built fast bowler with long hairs and beard on face and obviously who bowls fast.....
rkt.india Posted January 19, 2012 Posted January 19, 2012 Rahul Shukla has the ingredients to be a hostile kind of bowler who is aggressive naturally. He has better and taller build than both Aaron and Yadav and looks quick as well and he is younger than both.
NeutralCat Posted January 19, 2012 Posted January 19, 2012 How is he coming along? We need to build a team around the bowlers just like Australia are doing, look at Australia's bench strength in the bowling department.
Old guy Posted January 19, 2012 Posted January 19, 2012 How is he coming along? We need to build a team around the bowlers just like Australia are doing' date=' look at Australia's bench strength in the bowling department.[/quote'] talent is still not a problem selection is .
rkt.india Posted January 19, 2012 Posted January 19, 2012 How is he coming along? We need to build a team around the bowlers just like Australia are doing' date=' look at Australia's bench strength in the bowling department.[/quote'] BCCI need to bring all these potentially talented young fast bowlers together under one roof in the off season in the guidance of good bowling coaches and let them learn from them and work on their fitness as well which is the most important part of a fast bowlers career. I really like how Umesh Yadav has maintained himself. His work regime must be good. He has good body and stamina. Most bowlers need to follow his regime.
rkt.india Posted January 19, 2012 Posted January 19, 2012 Rahul Shukla reminds me of a bit of Kemar Roach's action. I Have uploaded this video on youtube, quality is not that great though.
NeutralCat Posted January 19, 2012 Posted January 19, 2012 Yes the BCCI does need to do a professional hunt for bowling coaches, why can;t we hire 3 or 4 top quality bowling coaches from around the world and and get these young talented kids under their guidance and control. The BCCI really needs to start thinking from out of the box, we need to build a squad of at least 10 bowlers who will be guided under the coaching of the best in the world, send them to Australia, SA, England to learn as well.

Old guy Posted January 19, 2012 Posted January 19, 2012 yadav is rare .. never saw such a fit fast bowler from india he can bowl fast w/o effort now and is a fairly good fielder (cos of his fitness) we got lucky with him rkt do u think potentially there is some other bowler like yadav in india? who maybe does not bow las quick as him but goes for wickets?
