Manny_Pacquiao Posted December 28, 2011 Posted December 28, 2011 this ***** **** has cost us the game. i just want him to retire. he burns a hole at number 3 with his pathetically slow batting and he drops catches in every game. go take the next flight home, dravid. i feel so sorry for ashwin.
bulbul Posted December 28, 2011 Posted December 28, 2011 It isnt that. The problem is' date=' nobody in the team management has the courage to walk up to the 17 year old veteran/world record holder and and say [i']'Mate, i know you have been awesome so far, but i think its time for someone else to take up that mantle..' i dont know why any one need courage to tell Dravid...the guy is proved many times that he can do anything for team cause.. I wonder why he himself Not asked to be out of silps.... May be dhoni thinking any other place than slips he is a liabilty in field.. :dontknow:
Needforspeed Posted December 28, 2011 Posted December 28, 2011 Why can't stupid Dhoni remove the old man from there?

Too harsh man. Show some respect for the guy. Dhoni should move him out ot the slips. Age slowing him down.
saneindian Posted December 28, 2011 Posted December 28, 2011 The reason why Dravid would retire early would be the dropped chances in slips and not his batting form :(( As Gilly said, it was a dropped chance that told him his time was up!
Manny_Pacquiao Posted December 28, 2011 Posted December 28, 2011 Too harsh man. Show some respect for the guy. Dhoni should move him out ot the slips. Age slowing him down. sorry, i jsut can't accept a guy who routinely costs indian bowlers wickets with his abysmal fielding. his batting isnt great either. what did he do yesterday apart from killing time and the scoring rate? not to mention sparking the collapse by getting out first thing in the morning when india needed to push on. dravid is a CANCER. he needs to go, but the hero worshipping mentality of indians will get in the way here.
CoverDrive Posted December 28, 2011 Posted December 28, 2011 that drop can potentially add 50-60 runs to the chase. otherwise we would have been chasing 250
amiret Posted December 28, 2011 Posted December 28, 2011 too many drops off late on regulations chances.. Off late ??!!!! he drops a catch in every match without fail. He has dropped as many as he has taken in his career.
Manny_Pacquiao Posted December 28, 2011 Posted December 28, 2011 if i was ashwin, i would make sure i spit on dravid's face in the dressing room.
Ram Posted December 28, 2011 Author Posted December 28, 2011 This reminds of the of the Kamran Akmal comedy against the Aussies in Sydney last year. The Aussies were in even more precarious situation and it the same Hussey who was dropped by Akmal and went on to put a match-winning p'ship with Siddle. I know its sort of pointless to keep on ranting about this, but some of the dollies he drops are a shame. Make no mistake, Hussey has so far been mellow, but he's quite easily capable of adding another 100 runs for the last 2 wickets.
Lord Posted December 28, 2011 Posted December 28, 2011 The reason why Dravid would retire early would be the dropped chances in slips and not his batting form :(( As Gilly said, it was a dropped chance that told him his time was up! exactly.I'm sure it must be playing on in Dravid's mind by now. even more reason to remove him from slip

Raghav_12 Posted December 28, 2011 Posted December 28, 2011 if i was ashwin' date=' i would make sure i spit on dravid's face in the dressing room.[/quote'] Get some composure man. You talking about somebody who has been highest run-scorer for India this year and has been playing for 17 years. He'll retire when we'll find a replacement for Dada, which we couldn't do in more than 3 years.
TheWall Posted December 28, 2011 Posted December 28, 2011 Dravid's time is up. half of the present team has to go before dravid goes...
punjabi_khota Posted December 28, 2011 Posted December 28, 2011 Its more of a failure of Dhoni by not asking him to move to somewhere else in the field.

Based on what he did in this year, he can question all other 10 place holders in team. Forget about his position being questioned.
