Even I am tracking the performance of Ishwar Choudhary this season. Hope selectors would be doing the same thing. As far as Pankaj Singh is concerned. I had very high expectations and team management too but he seems like a lazy camel who is standing just at the same place where he was 4 years ago. MCcricket Posted December 27, 2011 Posted December 27, 2011 Good riddance Tarun and maybe nballa are banned, they are not sport lovers, just here to make mischief antagonize,Tyagi looked very good few years back, he has taking bucket loads of wickets since then, hopefully he finds his rhythm, Dhawal Kulkarni , Ishwar choudhury are mediocre in the sense they bowl 120 to 127 average, no where close to having the potential skills for test's,Pankaj singh, if someone helps him a bit with his action he can raise his pace 5 k's from 130 to 135 he has potential, being 6 5".Gony, Tyagi,Dinda are the three best bowlers outside our squad or better then the bench bowlers chosen.

The first time I saw him he looked quite sharp and bouncy and very promising. Now he is hitting the deck less.

But they have pace and once they get their rhythm back they will be dangerous. Pawan Suyal too is out with injury.It was a freak injury (knee fracture -getting hit by a ball while fielding) and will not affect his bowling when he comes back. He has the pace and a leftie with good variations. Anwar Ahmed Khan and Pawan Suyal, both have to be nursed carefully..both are lefties and Anwar's height of 6'5" is definitely an advantage for him. Once hopes that Varun Aaron gets fit fast. Gony too has the height advantage. This is the right time to bring in Abu Nechim and Ashok Dinda into the team. But the ICL issue seems to work against Abu Nechim - really immature of the Board. Dinda should have been sent as cover for Ishant..He's got pace and he must be doing something right with the ball to take so many wickets on our flat tracks. Shami Ahmed is still raw..but he is still young and can be developed. All these guys and a few more should be in the list. But having a list is not enough. The Board should arrange for India A team and B team to tour countries like S.Africa, Australia, England, WI etc in the next two years (When our main team is mostly playing at home) so that by Dec 2013, (S.Africa tour) we will have a bunch of motivated and experienced fast bowlers. On a different note I am glad the mods have banned Tarun and hopefully nballa. Their comments were so disgusting that it was actually made me wonder ..Are these guys for real or what exactly is their agenda? Good riddance and apologies to any Indian Muslim brothers who felt hurt.

The very eesence of being a sports fan, is loving the game and it surpasses boundaries, countries, race , religion, color,one should appreciate the game and players irrespective of what they are, some rotten apples, although there are a lot of fantastic people out here and to be honest the reason I joined ICF was RKT I used to search online and always kept in touch with cricket and new players, he has a lot of knowledge and a true cricket fan along with u guys here, rest it is best to ignore some and also to be proactive and get the michevious elements banned as they make everyone look bad and spoil the atmosphere.:diablo::banghead::protest:

A call from the HCA secretary, Anirudh Chaudhary, saw Pont take the first flight to Delhi and off he was to Corbett. The facilities were amazing. A cricket ground in the middle of mountains, with great nets, good length run-ups. And the discipline of the players is unique to India. Your icons are mostly batsmen. It is different in Pakistan. There, most kids want to bowl fast. Disparity Pont drives home the point that there is a disparity when dealing with bowling and batting. As a coach, he observes, Batting is about technique where you won't let a kid bat wrongly. But you allow a young bowler to bowl as he wants as long as the line and length is fine. You don't want to change the bowling action but would quickly spot a batting technique error and insist on changing it quickly. That is the disparity I have seen as a coach. I don't think fast bowlers are born. Are doctors or engineers born? Known to work with fast bowlers, Pont believes the most important requisite for a fast bowler is the size' of his heart. Controlling the cricket ball is so important. I can give Steyn's example. In the sub-continent, he realised swing was more important. So, he looked to swing and took ten wickets in a Test (at Nagpur in 2010). Fast bowling is not just about banging it into the keeper's gloves. Artistry There is an art to it and this World Cup saw some very smart fast bowling. We saw yorkers, slower ones, slow bouncers, bouncers, back of the hand stuff, wide of the stumps, there was great variation. That is fast bowling to me. For Pont, the ideal fast bowler is Brett Lee. He is a line and rhythm bowler, correct biomechanics positions, timing, consistency, can swing the ball late, always in the right bowling position between the white lines. To me, coaching skills are very important. If the youngster wants to study intensely, nothing can stop him from achieving his goals.
