desiladka321 Posted December 24, 2011 Posted December 24, 2011 No, no, you people are not getting my point. These companies take pictures of these celebrations and send these pics to their white bosses to please them that we are celebrating christmas. They collect money and decorate the office . I am working in H....(nope, i am not gonna say full name) and the western culture and lifestyle is forced. Most of the team leaders are all christians, they select these people just to satisfy their clients who are mostly americans and western countries, because they often contact with clients and if its a christian name that pleases them and the interaction goes smoothly. I agree with each and every word that came of your keyboard man!!!!!!!!! Western.culture sucks!*!!!!!! Our desi culture is best. We should make everyone celebrate diwali and holi and ram navami. Because meta bharat mahaan. I love you India . Yeh mera India. I love my India.
Blue Panther Posted December 24, 2011 Author Posted December 24, 2011 If you work in Haiti' date=' what else do you expect?[/quote'] Hewlett Packard.

nikred Posted December 24, 2011 Posted December 24, 2011 So, do you work in India? My company celebrates all festivals. :)
ViruRulez Posted December 24, 2011 Posted December 24, 2011 When I was working in the past, the companies used to celebrate all festivals. For MNCs Christmas also makes sense as it is the major sales season and clients spend a lot meaning more profit for the company which they can spend more on celebrations. Never seen only Christian managers in any company. Not sure where is that in India unless it is a Christian majority region. Normally it is from all religions and MNCs do not select employees based on religion, caste, creed etc. Work and quality of work matters. However, Western names help which is again from business point of view. Companies including MNCs do business and every action is to cater to profit and business. But ONLY Christmas celebration and ONLY christian team leaders sound weird at least in India. Even in the West, it is not ONLY christian leaders. If only one festival is celebrated in the whole year then Christmas might be fine. Having said that, MNCs do not work like govt. offices and so, do not expect them to give you holidays 200 days in a year like sarkari naukris for every ***ing small festival. They do business unlike govt. departments which mostly run on massive losses. You won't get holidays for Diwali, Eid, Holi etc. which is again business and happens with all outsourced companies.
ganeshran Posted December 24, 2011 Posted December 24, 2011 Do you work at a church by any chance? :cantstop: ROFL :hysterical::hysterical::hysterical:

EnterTheVoid Posted December 24, 2011 Posted December 24, 2011 Yep, Hewlett Packard are completely at fault for "celbrating" Christmas. When have they started hiring idiots left, right and centre? :wall:
nikred Posted December 24, 2011 Posted December 24, 2011 Do you work at a church by any chance? :cantstop: This reminds me, I once attended an interview for a DBA position for some United Methodist Church in Atlanta, Ga. It was the best interview I have ever given. Too bad they did not trust me with their databases.
