8ankitj Posted December 24, 2011 Posted December 24, 2011 LOL. Fully expected vitriol and name calling. And you wonder why I don't bother. How about Tendulkar's domestic average not standing up to Bradman's test average?

surajmal Posted December 24, 2011 Posted December 24, 2011 sachin's non international first class match average is 65.1 and a major chunk of these matches came early in his career when he was a babe. Rest were just practice matches for him to get rid of the rust between major tours or when he was coming back from injuries. I swear these bradman ball lickers will go to any degree.

8ankitj Posted December 24, 2011 Posted December 24, 2011 You dish out vitriol you will get back your own meds. I was speaking to you very decently till you started your peurile and condescending BS . If you cant handle the heat then dont dish it out . Stay in limits of decency. I did not mention your ass, why did you mention mine? :hehe: Do you really think you will let facts get in your way ? Why bother ? Why not simply continue to live in your fantasy land ? Stop abusing the the word "fact", will you? "Facts" are Bradman's average, his rate of scoring hundreds, his number of double hundreds, averaging above 55 in every single series, scoring a hundred in every single series etc etc. What you have is opinions. And I already said I have nothing new to say. You have got all your answers in my earlier post. Bookmark it if you like. Neither of us are going to change other's opinion. Nor can you get me to respect the opinion that Tednulkar is the greatest thing to step on cricket field, when there are allrounders that have performed at or near the level of Tendulkar's batting in their primary skill. Anyway, once again...

pensionplan Posted December 24, 2011 Posted December 24, 2011 Stay in limits of decency. I did not mention your ass, why did you mention mine? :hehe: Because BossBhai has a habit of getting kicked on his favorite anatomy on a regular basis and hence cannot get it out of his mind. Please do not take that seriously.

Malcolm Merlyn Posted December 24, 2011 Posted December 24, 2011 Good work Ankit. While stats can do a lot of things, you cant discount that Tendulkar played againist a varied and better attack than Bradman.Use of third umpires. The often repeated argument that Bradman was the best among his peers,we have very well seen that the no. of peers of SRT are many times more than that of Bradman by a huge no. Tendulkar played in a much more varied condition. For eg. since jan 2011 to dec 2011 Tendulkar will have played test matches in IND SA ENG and AUS within 12 months.Dravid in fact would have played in IND SA ENG WI AND AUS.So the amount of adjustment etc is far more than that what Bradman ever faced. Havent seen anyone answer this

Vijay.Sharma Posted December 25, 2011 Posted December 25, 2011 when in the opposition, you have McGrath-Warne, Wasim-Waqar and Donald-Pollock combination: M I No R Avg sWaugh 14 21 1 971 48.55 mWaugh 12 18 0 770 42.78 BCLara 30 57 2 2342 42.58 Sachin 16 31 0 1257 40.55 Anwar 10 19 0 765 40.26 :winky:Are these the runs these guys scored against McGrath-Warne, Wasim-Waqar, Donald-Pollock?
BeautifulGame Posted December 25, 2011 Posted December 25, 2011 Sangakara' date=' if you consider a wk batsman as an all rounder[/quote'] Sankakara averages 37 as a keeper.Nowhere near good enough for an all rounder.Only Gilly and Andy flower deserves to be mentioned as all rounder if wk are considered in same category

akshayxyz Posted December 26, 2011 Posted December 26, 2011 sometime back, I pulled out this stat on one of my rare tour to statsguru.. SRT vs DGB in lost matches.. Hence proved, however great these are, they failed to perform under pressure.
