saneindian Posted December 29, 2011 Posted December 29, 2011 If we lose this series, most likely Dravid and VVS will themselves go. We do not play a test match for the next 6 months. Will give them enough time to think and decide.
bulbul Posted December 29, 2011 Posted December 29, 2011 If we lose this series' date=' most likely Dravid and VVS will themselves go. We do not play a test match for the next 6 months. But if he played well i cant guess what happens
master22 Posted December 29, 2011 Posted December 29, 2011 LMFAO. NOW THIS IS HILARIOUS. dravid has been a COMPLETE AND UTTER FAILURE over the last 3/4 years in test cricket. the england series is an aberation in the middle of a LONG LINE of FAILURES. pretty much every single indian batsman bar the crap ones like raina, dhoni, etc. have outscored dravid. go check the stats from 2009 onwards til today and tell me where dravid stands in comparison to tendulkar, laxman, gambhir, sehwag, etc. its amazing how u ppl are so ****ing clueless about things. Ya he should have been dropped before 2010 but selectors persisted with him for some reason but he has been in good form for past 12 months so there is no reason why he should be dropped "now".
Manny_Pacquiao Posted December 29, 2011 Posted December 29, 2011 past 12 months?? he scored in TWO series - against a piss poor WI side (where he was LUCKY as a result of dropped catches) and in england. TWO SERIES in a long line of FAILURES. this is hilarious. u ppl are so one-eyed and ignorant that its just unbelievable. unfortunately our esteemed selectors led by CSK CHEEKA think the same way.
Andrew Peter Posted December 29, 2011 Posted December 29, 2011 I think the current outrage against Dravid has more to do with the easy catches that he has dropped in the recent past and less with his batting form , which was even good compared to most of the other batsmen in the team . But he should start scoring at a better strike rate and stop making every track look like a minefield .

THATS WHAT WE PLAYED IN LAST 12 MONTHS

India's top Test batsmen in last 3 years - Dravid the 2nd highest India's top scorers in Test cricket in last 4 years - Dravid the 3rd highest :hysterical::hysterical::hysterical::hysterical: and BTW since 2009 onwards Dravid has outscored all Indian batsmen except Goddy.

What a tool. Please tell me gambir's avg in the past two years.Im sure it will be filled with runs:giggle:
BeautifulGame Posted December 29, 2011 Posted December 29, 2011 couldnt be more wrong. http://stats.espncricinfo.com/ci/engine/stats/index.html?class=1;home_or_away=2;result=1;team=6;template=results;type=batting why don't you address the very first post i made on this thread/? I said top scoring not averaging. He top scored in twice in our away wins in West Indies and oth our away wins in Australia(Adelaide and Perth) and series decider in Pakistan. Mention me which other Indian player has top scored in more away wins than Dravid? As for your stats if u exclude minnows Bangladesh and Zimbabwe Dravid comfortably averages above Sachin even in terms of average. http://stats.espncricinfo.com/ci/engine/stats/index.html?class=1;filter=advanced;home_or_away=2;opposition=1;opposition=2;opposition=3;opposition=4;opposition=5;opposition=7;opposition=8;orderby=runs;result=1;team=6;template=results;type=batting why don't you address the very first post i made on this thread/? What exactly is there is address in ur pointless rambling? His knock in SA 1996 , His performance against Australia 2001 and 2004 are more than proof about his ability to play against quality attacks.
Manny_Pacquiao Posted December 29, 2011 Posted December 29, 2011 As for your stats if u exclude minnows Bangladesh and Zimbabwe Dravid comfortably averages above Sachin even in terms of average.s. yeah, comfortably averages higher by a grand total of 4.75 :hysterical::hysterical: he has also played about 5 innings more. keep trying though, i'm enjoying this. especially since you previously said that he SCORED MORE RUNS THAN TENDULKAR, LAXMAN, SEHWAG COMBINED IN AWAY WINS :hysterical: there is something to address in that 2nd post. those are the series he played against the best bowling attacks he has faced. he was a dismal failure in every single one of them. that's a big hole in the reputation of somebody who is considered to be an ALL TIME GREAT.
The Dark Horse Posted December 29, 2011 Posted December 29, 2011 Don't reply let him rant all he wants.
BeautifulGame Posted December 29, 2011 Posted December 29, 2011 yeah, comfortably averages higher by a grand total of 4.75 :hysterical::hysterical: Yes a difference of 5 is comfortable. he has also played about 5 innings more. keep trying though, i'm enjoying this. especially since you previously said that he SCORED MORE RUNS THAN TENDULKAR, LAXMAN, SEHWAG COMBINED IN AWAY WINS :hysterical: Can u point out where i said more runs?I said he probably top scored more away wins than Sachin Laxman and Sehwag. As it turns out he top scored in 5 away wins whereas Sachin , Laxman and Sehwag have combinedly top scored in 7 away wins. And away from Sub continent he has indeed top scored in more away wins(4 wins) than Sachin Sehwag and Laxman combined (3) which is exceptional. there is something to address in that 2nd post. those are the series he played against the best bowling attacks he has faced. he was a dismal failure in every single one of them. that's a big hole in the reputation of somebody who is considered to be an ALL TIME GREAT. Australia 2001 and South Africa 1996 West Indies 97 says otherwise
SachDan Posted December 29, 2011 Posted December 29, 2011 for that guy except his god only other good player in this planet is Shreesanth...what else u excpet.. hey smartass can you show a single instance of me unnecessarily having a dig at any of our players? :finger: As for you unearthing my secret liking for Sreesanth..all I can say is sixth sense of a Nimhans patient at work :winky:
bulbul Posted December 29, 2011 Posted December 29, 2011 hey smartass can you show a single instance of me unnecessarily having a dig at any of our players? :finger: As for you unearthing my secret liking for Sreesanth..all I can say is sixth sense of a Nimhans patient at work :winky: so if u take a dig necessarily its fine :hysterical: as per Shree he is the only world famous cricketer from u r native :winky:
akshayxyz Posted December 29, 2011 Posted December 29, 2011 In before it becomes Dravid vs SRT, and eventually DGB and other usual suspects enter the discussion.
