Marut Posted January 15, 2012 Posted January 15, 2012 I hope Sachin would pack up soon. I do not want him to drop to the present level of Laxman or Kapil of his last days and quit under pressure and disgrace. Quit when you are on top, good for all. He will be remembered long regardless of whether he makes that inconsequential 100th hundred.
The Outsider Posted January 15, 2012 Posted January 15, 2012 ^ While on top? The guy has been a walking wicket overseas for a year and the icing on the cake was his preference of IPL over an away test series.
wobblydoggy Posted January 15, 2012 Posted January 15, 2012 pontin is a better player as much as i hate to admit it
Ultimate_Game Posted January 15, 2012 Posted January 15, 2012 ^ While on top? SRT sitting out for the WI series while playing IPL will definitely gives more ammunition to his critics.
Number Posted January 15, 2012 Posted January 15, 2012 pontin is a better player as much as i hate to admit it :cantstop: top troll you are..
wobblydoggy Posted January 15, 2012 Posted January 15, 2012 :cantstop: top troll you are.. I am an England supporter, so admitting Punter is a great hurts
deathmonger Posted January 15, 2012 Posted January 15, 2012 pontin is a better player as much as i hate to admit it he's not. lower avg. lower no of runs. lower no of 100s. also sucked in the 90s when bowling was good and sucked after mcwarne.
Sachinism Posted January 15, 2012 Posted January 15, 2012 I am an England supporter' date=' so admitting Punter is a great hurts[/quote'] Makes you retarded and blind. The guy has been a joke over the last few years. Now he's scoring some runs against a pi$$ poor bowling attack and he's suddenly a brilliant batsman again :haha: Looks like someone took a dump on your long-term memory

deathmonger Posted January 15, 2012 Posted January 15, 2012 many great players suffer whilst captaining their side' date=' pontin is no different[/quote'] wasn't suffering when mcwarne was there. thing is ponting fired when he was in the one of the greatest teams of all time and when the going got tough couldn't handle it. srt for the most part of his career played in a crap team where he scored and in the previous few years when he got to play in a decent team he was scoring. team composition didn't matter to him. also srt is the only batsmen to avg 40+ IN and AGAINST all countries. So he can play on all surfaces. Ponting avgs 20 something over here.
wobblydoggy Posted January 15, 2012 Posted January 15, 2012 Also Pontin has been a very successful Captain, something Tendulkar failed at twice

Tendulkar has always been a good player, but Pontin better than him because of his all round record as captain and batsman It could be argued that Pontin would have scored more 100's if he had not captained for so long Being captain is bloody hard work
Sachinism Posted January 15, 2012 Posted January 15, 2012 many great players suffer whilst captaining their side' date=' pontin is no different[/quote'] I'm gonna stop trying to discuss this with you. Either you are a troll or really dim. Either way, time is precious

Says it all really
wobblydoggy Posted January 15, 2012 Posted January 15, 2012 Not when you have players like Warne and McGrath and facing piss poor teams like United Nations Australia won a test series against India when Ponting wasn't a captain. Says it all really look at his record as captain then look at sachins
wobblydoggy Posted January 15, 2012 Posted January 15, 2012 I'm gonna stop trying to discuss this with you. Either you are a troll or really dim. Either way' date=' time is precious[/quote'] sachin was a crap captain i think sachin is a better batsman, but ponting is a better cricketer
deathmonger Posted January 15, 2012 Posted January 15, 2012 sachin was a crap captain i think sachin is a better batsman, but ponting is a better cricketer how better cricketer. sachin also has 200+ international wkts. ponting was a crap captain. after mcwarne he did so many stupid things in his captaincy.
special K Posted January 15, 2012 Posted January 15, 2012 Ponting is a much better athlete then Sachin. Better fielder for sure.
deathmonger Posted January 15, 2012 Posted January 15, 2012 Ponting is a much better athlete then Sachin. Better fielder for sure. maybe but wkts and runs are more important.
wobblydoggy Posted January 15, 2012 Posted January 15, 2012 how better cricketer. sachin also has 200+ international wkts. ponting was a crap captain. after mcwarne he did so many stupid things in his captaincy. Pontin is the most successful Test captain ever and not that I care, but he has won two world cups too + he is a great in the batting department So better Cricketer than Sachin who has always lets face it been interested in Sachin
