Vikas Krishan is out because of spitting his mouthguard at the US boxer.
 Boxing is actually a joke. It throws more surprises than when Pakistan cricket team bats. Vikas Krishnan didn't deserve to go through - as simple as that. Sangwan did! Now, they overturn their decision over a misinterpreted rule? Anyways, IOA have lodged a counter appeal. 10am GMT

I think it's more out of spite after Sangwan. Vikas deserves to bow out and Spence wants to go. The only issue here is about how via punch scoring points or fouls. The former should be the most appropriate way to go forward.

The Indian boxing team is viewing the video and trying to submit a counter-protest. The american boxer got 4 additional points not for punches thrown, but for holding the american 9 times and spitting his gum-shield.. According the boxing rules, the referee has to give 2 warning to the boxer for 'holding' and only then can his opponent be awarded points for it. The Indian boxer was given only 1 warning hence the 4 additional points should as per rules be invalid...

True that - I made this point on the other thread too.

Mushkil se ek medal aani thi, woh bhi phisal gayi. Our boxer was given a bad decision and the decision was not overturned. Boxing in Olympics is a farce. I am not crying over this as it seems to be fair. But it's not fair to be meted out to a country like ours.
