Asim Posted January 11, 2012 Posted January 11, 2012 PAKISTAN cricket chief Zaka Ashraf said paceman Mohammad Amir can be considered for national selection after serving the ban handed to him in the 2010 spot-fixing case. Pakistan Cricket Board chairman Ashraf said all three players had stained the image of the country. "PCB cannot side with anyone who has done wrong and, because of them, the name of the country was stained," Ashraf said in Karachi. "It was very unfortunate what happened and every Pakistani fan was hurt. "Whenever Amir is cleared by the ICC and serves his punishment, we think he needs intense counselling and then we will take guidance from the ICC about him on whether there was any hitch on his playing." Ashraf said that Amir's fitness, after counselling, would also be ascertained. "Selectors can decide about him and, as far as his talent is concerned, there is no doubt he has that. But we will also have to judge his fitness," said Ashraf, who took over in October. http://www.theaustralian.com.au/news/sport/pakistan-says-amir-still-has-a-future/story-e6frg7rx-1226242127469 http://www.nzherald.co.nz/sport/news/article.cfm?c_id=4&objectid=10777960 http://tribune.com.pk/story/319301/amir-could-still-have-international-career-zaka-ashraf/
BERGKAMP Posted January 11, 2012 Posted January 11, 2012 just because he is a tailunted yungstur you can't lose all you morals and be gagging for him to come back asap, which has been mindset of pcb and lots of pak fans the CHEAT should be banned for life from all cricket.
shinchan Posted January 11, 2012 Posted January 11, 2012 he can come back after serving ban which is five year loooooong but its really shame that Board chairman is givin such kind of statement when he is not even completed one year of ban... really shame:facepalm::facepalm:
Pak_Fan_4_Eva Posted January 11, 2012 Posted January 11, 2012 Should be considered for selection once the term of his ban ends.
deathmonger Posted January 11, 2012 Posted January 11, 2012 For the sake of Paki fans hope it turns out better than Saqi's comeback.
Singham Posted January 11, 2012 Posted January 11, 2012 He should be careful not to bowl a no ball in his life.:winky: Everytime he oversteps the shameful chapter will be reminded.

julianlev Posted January 12, 2012 Posted January 12, 2012 To err is human. To forgive, divine. It is said that anyone can make a mistake and some sympathy must be accorded to the naive youngster who probably didn't realize the gravity of a few no balls. The onus was on his captain and seniors to guide him and in that they failed. I would imagine that he realizes his error and, given another chance, would not make the same mistake again. To punish him for the purpose of "sending a message" to other players would be unfair, he was not the first person to make this mistake and he will not be the last. I would let him play, not for his talent, but for the chance to redeem himslf both in his own eyes and the eyes of the world. Let him be an example, not of how a player can be ruined by such a mistake, but how he can be made into a better man through punishment and repentance.
Sarkar Posted January 12, 2012 Posted January 12, 2012 Every match fixer and spot fixer think its their dad,s right to come back to cricket after cheating fiascos.

If azhar jadeja can get life bans why cant aamir get the same.
