NeutralCat Posted January 16, 2012 Posted January 16, 2012 Wow the Incredible Hulk can bowl? Should get him into the Indian team now.
ChanaLal Posted January 16, 2012 Posted January 16, 2012 Can someone tell me more about Mr. Pont please? Sounds like a lot of you guys think he would be a great coach for our bowlers. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ian_Pont
Needforspeed Posted January 16, 2012 Posted January 16, 2012 What about me??? :yoyo: Ok I will just take 1.5 lakhs per month and I'd adjust in a 1 acre cottage and you will have to provide transport facility as well. Thats it. And the last demand is players will have to listen to whatever I am saying. Ask them not 2 argue with me. :yay::yay: :two_thumbs_up::two_thumbs_up: Can I be your partner? Answer before the mods move this to the Jokes section. :--D
ChanaLal Posted January 16, 2012 Posted January 16, 2012 i guess Shaun Pollock will be good ! Has Pollock ever 'coached' anyone or just given tips like all the big former players do? It's not tips and hints we want but serious, dedicated coaches who can actually make a difference and develop talent.
chainsmoker1985 Posted January 16, 2012 Posted January 16, 2012 :two_thumbs_up::two_thumbs_up: Can I be your partner? Answer before the mods move this to the Jokes section. :--D Yes, you can be my assistant. First I will have to interview you to check whether you know anything about fast bowling. Ok, tell me who is Vinay kumar- Your options are 1. A fast bowler. 2. A medium pacer. 3. A spinner. 4. An Anil Kumble mould spinner wiith a longer run up.

Pagalpanti Posted January 16, 2012 Posted January 16, 2012 Ganguly wants Kapil Paaji to be our bowling coach. :hmmm:
express bowling Posted January 16, 2012 Posted January 16, 2012 I would like someone who -- Stresses on ( speed + accuracy ) and not encourage bowlers to develop one at the cost of the other. Encorage bowlers to hit the deck hard and get seam movement and bounce. -- Has the ability to teach bowlers how to effectively plan a dismissal and working on specific weaknesses for individual batsmen. He should discourage bowlers to just go through the motions. -- Is a good communicator and motivator. ( Current bowling coach himself seems very demotivated, going through coaching motions and I rarely understand what he is trying to say. ) -- Keeps things simple. Many of these young pacers have little knowlegde of English when they are young. They often get confused when some English speaker talks about some intricate and finer point of bowling in a complicated manner. Who fits this bill ?

I will go with option 4. - Future BCCI president. :canabis:

CG Posted January 16, 2012 Posted January 16, 2012 Ishant gone down during his stint' date=' lost pace, tried to bowl like Zak and Prasad's leg cutter.[/quote'] Not exactly,Ishant was doing pretty well till the t20 world cup in england,Yes his pace had dropped but he was 135-140km/h and still had the swing and the legcutter but after that he hs lost leg cutter and swing and gained pace and look at his performance, pace alone will do you no good without movement at international level.

I had created thread about change in bowling action and drop in pace eith evidences earlier this year, his bowling action changed which I noticed first in wc t20 in 2009 and then WI tour and he bowled with that action till SA tour 2010. ishant tried different things with Prasad like different types slower balls which lead to downfall and he lost his pace and struggled to touch 135 and that was one of the reason that prasad was sacked.
Malcolm Merlyn Posted January 16, 2012 Posted January 16, 2012 AD and CM already have national contracts and Cooley hasn't had great success since he left England. Heard of bcci power.if they want they can get them. Sent from my GT-I9103 using Tapatalk

Yes i remember your thread where you said he will be different bowler with his new action and going ga ga over it ,I had also said that time without the inswing he will not be successful. Regarding pace he was always 130-140 even in southafrica so your facts are wrong you can check it on youtube,Ishant himself said he tried to copy zaheer so i do not see prasad faults and more ever prasad was not there after 2009 t20 world cup.
sumvell Posted January 16, 2012 Posted January 16, 2012 why not akram?.....ideal combo of speed & swing...really think he can help our bowlers...
Sundar88 Posted January 16, 2012 Posted January 16, 2012 They should reinstate Lalchand Rajput, Venkatesh Prasad and Robin Singh. The team was doing pretty well while they were still around.
