Eric Simmons-One of the biggest culprit who I see has not done anything off note or contributed much in developing and improve our fast bowlers. My suggestion is Subroto Banarjee, Vidarbha bowling coach. This guy should be given the credit to transform Umesh Yadav in less than a year who looked ordinary in Zimbabwe, was not swinging the ball, but Banarjee made some changes in his approach and bowling action and he also increased his pace. Yes, Yadav had talent but Subroto Banarjee refined the talent, guided him, and still guides him in the off time.

Prasad and Robin Singh got fired for a t20 loss and here we are getting whitewashed time and again and yet no one talks about sacking the bowling coach. Most of our boys are MRF trainees and have worked with TA Sekhar during their early days, why not give him an opportunity?

I am not sure we will see Prasad again but why not see Subroto Banrjee. I have read his interviews and his knowledge about fast bowling is immense and he has literally transformed Yadav himself by working with him in the nets. I believe he can certainly work like that with Ishant and Aaron as well to improve them.

The most effective bowling coaches haven't been the biggest names.
and subroto has never been a big name and also he has done ground work..though i feel BCCI will look for a foreign coach. what about fannie De villiars then who himself was a skillful fast bowler who could swing the ball.

I was thinking it must be Umesh's IPL team's consultant who he has worked with. Really good work by Subroto Banarjee. :two_thumbs_up:
