amiret Posted January 24, 2012 Posted January 24, 2012 Dinesh Kartick played a crucial role opening the innings in 2007 in England. He was one of the highest run scorers for us in that series. It is a shame Phoney has been preferred over Kartick due to his stellar ODI & 20-20 performances.

J P K Posted January 24, 2012 Posted January 24, 2012 if dhoni quits captaincy then saha should replace him he seems to be good keeper prathiv and kathick are good batsman but poor keeper we should not look at saha` batting ability rather i would see his keeping because our bowlers gets wicket once in 2 matches and we cannot afford to see it dropped his keeping will be tested once pk and vk comes back :winky:

Anyway this is all immaterial, he is our Captain.
Old guy Posted January 24, 2012 Posted January 24, 2012 impressed by his keeping :) in countries like england he will not drop/struggle like dhoni he has good technique.. and from looks of it he is technical kind of batsmen better suited to play in these conditions then dhoni

satishg Posted January 26, 2012 Posted January 26, 2012 Definitely looks well organized but he has limited strokes. Needs a lot of chances and might add more value to the team overseas in test matches than MSD because of his technique. Still early days but a good effort today.
