he has no control over full balls..biggest problem is he beats the bat then next ball is wide and is smashed for four runs then he goes back to his defensive length.. he has pace but it only helps batsmen cos he gets no movement ..he cant pick wickets against good sides its proven again n again im tired of him now hope he improves but honestly i dont think he ever will

i dont understand how Trundler Broad with speeds of 130 took couple of wickets in flat track...while our super passsst Isssssanth with speeds excess of 150 not able to take wickets even in bouncier pitches....surely luck plays major part in sports
Broad and Ishant more or less have same speed. Length and Movement do the trick for Barbie. Barbie too was useless against SL before our series.

Broad produces subtle seam movement to find edges. Ishant relies mostly on angle
also barbie NOW attacks top of off stump...and has improved seam position

:hysterical::hysterical:You mean same speed while running?Broad has better seam position so gets movement ,ishant had a good seam position but lost it and with it also lost the swing.Unless he improves his seam position which is elemental ,you teach this to kids ,but our bowling coach says do not change a thing or you get dropped.

In Aus Ishant has increased his pace though. Also Barbie is a bit slow here in UAE .

Someone who actually disagrees that you have to bowl at the stumps to get wickets is actually playing international cricket lololol..

You do not understand Its hard to pitch up when you cannot swing or seam it and it is gun barrel straight you get driven' date='Broad has improved his seam position so he is able to pitch it up and get a response .Ishant had a big inswinger when he started and When he was at his best the ball swung them seamed in off the pitch even at good length and he was a nightmare,He should try to go back to what worked for him and if possible be a little wide of the crease ,He will never be a outswing bowler and he does need to.[/quote'] but What I am saying. I already said that without good seam position no bowler can swing or seam it. He must get it right and half of his problems will be solved. It is fine if he cannot be in out swing bowler, but still he needs to correct his seam position so that he can get that inswing back and then of odd delivery stays straight he can again start taking wickets which is not happening right now. His deliveries swing or seam fast outside off, he is not able to get any movement from the stump line. Yes he may not get swing while bowling full but his problem is not that. Problem is his fuller bowls are not decisive and does not get much behind them as he does not stay upright enough and some times falls too early. If he stays tall in his delivery stride, he will be able to get more out of fuller deliveries like Pattinson or Stuart Broad. He also bowls fuller length balls in the stumps. He must ball them outside off around 4th and 5th stump because of his angle and if he has good seam those deliveries will come in or go away in the air or after pitching.
