Only Sachin looks in-form though not scoring big runs. Also the amount of catches Dravid and Laxman have been dropping since England tour are costing us dearly. Youngsters can't do worse batting wise + as a fielding unit we'll be much better.

We can draft likes of Rohit and Pujara in that series.

All these guys scored runs against WI tests on slower pitches, but Kohli has batted better than them here. It shows they have slowed down. Look at the dismissals of VVS and Dravid, they are slow in reacting. SRT is slowing down as well, today's dismissal is an example how he was clearly late on the ball, beaten by pass. There was no movement on both SRT and RD dismissals. I believe young Indian batsmen will do as good as these ATGs at home at this stage. Even with these guys, we are not sure. People have lost confidence in them and if they dont change the things, I can see us losing test series against England too.

Give them both the send off they deserve, but just keep them the hell away from the national team.

saneindian Posted January 26, 2012 Posted January 26, 2012 I want BCCI to restore the original schedule in Sri Lanka with 3 tests there as well. need to give our younger guys a go in Sri lanka and then in the 2 tests vs NZ (if BCCI is kind enough to honor the FTP). The likes of Rohit, Rahane, Pujara would get at least 5 tests before the big series vs England. And once we are ahead 3-0 after the 3rd test vs Eng, let the maarathis play their farewell tests :P Jokes apart, after the Eng series, we play Australia at home. If we keep saying we need these 3 in those series, our younger boys would never get an opportunity.

Everything will be forgotten by then.
