And when that job is that of a state minister, then it is all the critical that you are very diliggent at it. When a state minister watches p0rn, that too IN THE assemble, while the session is going on, it shows how seriously he takes his job. That guy needs to be fired not for moral violations - people can watch p0rn, it is none of anyone's business - but for dereliction of duty.

Pure dereliction of duty, breach of privilege as a member of the house and breach of trust as an elected representative. The lal batti and right of way is given because they are entrusted with executing duties of national importance. Even a watchman in a private company if found surfing porn while on the job will get pulled up and sacked.

And it isn't like the Ministers were watching a porn movie as an event in itself. How many of you get MMS sent to your cell phones of such stuff? Almost everyone. Have you ever thought that the Ministers also got it like you guys get them in your cellphones and watched it? When you get an MMS in your office and you open it and watch it - its just the same thing that has happened with the Ministers...just that their office is not in a cubicle or a cabin but the Assembly. Its not like they opened their zips and started shagging. And what is this Saurav guy going on about regressive country and all? Everyone watches porn and if porn was such a no no in our country you wouldnt have had half the Mallu film industry, you wouldnt have had designated red light areas in many cities. I mean get real. Enough of the moral posturing totally agree.

So sex is a natural thing? As natural as watching porn, right? So why don't you try doing it in the middle of the office next time? Or may be just start watching porn in the office in the open and when asked for an explanation by someone with a similar mentality to "backward Indians", tell them "hey, I understand it's not an appropriate place, but it's not a crime. It's the most natural thing. So eff off and let me finish."

You take a cheap shot at bollywood movies most of the time with whatever reason I am not sure may be you are a victim of casting couch but it was a bit below the belt. Beleive it or not bollywood movies starting from Anandmath to A Wednesday, we have more number of movies in bollwood which has not only taught Satyamev Jayate but also has entertained more than 80% of rural population which is a huge number so next time while taking a cheap shot on bollywood just remember Upkar, Border, Gurudatt, Amir Khan, Kamal hasan, A wednesday, Naseer, Anupam, Shaban, Gulzar, Bacchan, satyajit ray, Govind nihlani, Vidya Balan, Vivek vasvani, Amol Palekar, Rshikesh mukherjee, Chopras and many more.

"I was dismayed after learning about the two Karnataka ministers watching porn inside the Karnataka assembly. I was more disappointed after learning that the assembly was in session. One of them is woman and child development minister. And the porn clip was passed to them by a third minister," Hazare said in his statement. The three ministers -- Laxman Savadi, C.C. Patil and J. Krishna Palemar - resigned Wednesday after Savadi, the cooperation minister, and Patil, women and child development minister, were Tuesday caught watching the porn clip on the cell phone of Palemar, the environment and ports minister. I can't believe that there's some who think watching porn at work as natural and, to top it of, blame Indian mentality.

You are not supposed to take a dump, masturbate, have sex... publicly, you are not supposed to do N number of things in a meeting, but it does not mean all those acts are un-natural!!.

I should clarify...when I agreed with that post, I didn't read your op . You did mention that it was not the appropriate place to watch and that's my point as well. I agree that watching porn, in owns private quarters, shouldn't be a crime. At the same time, getting pleasure from watching two strangers ****, in a 4 inch screen, is anything but natural. :icflove:

We are saying the same thing in different languages. A natural action in an inappropriate place in not natural. What the guys did was wrong. Just because everyone watches porn and it's natural does not justify the act. And I certainly don't understand about "Indian mentality". Is it acceptable in the west (or anywhere else for that matter) if a person was caught watching porn in the place of work?
