Basically means if we can beat the Aussies in the next ODI, we are more or less through to the finals. With Clarke not yet fit and Hussey looking like the only batsman in form, could be our best chance to beat the Aussies again and seal that spot in the finals.

No mate 6 matches remaining in the group stages.Every team is playing 4 times against every opponents. So there is 12 matches in the group stage & 2/3 in the final.

Aussies have recently been bundled out cheaply by every other team - Eng, Pak, SA, NZ and now SL. Only our bowler haven't managed to do so. Shows how cr@p our bowling really is that we have made this Aussie lineup look good.

so rohit sharma and raina will perform once in blue moon and will play all 8 matches with tiwari sitting on bench..

we should've easily won the last game but managed to screw it up and eventually settled for a tie....we still haven't won convincingly enough to secure a bonus point while both SL & Aus now has 1....

I just wonder how it would have gone if we had this ODI thing scheduled ahead of Test matches. In a long test series a lot of things depend on momentum and confidence. At times one good spell or good innings is enough to turn the tide. Similarly, A good performance against Aus team in ODI's would have been a great boost. I personally feel that both of last two overseas series would have gone better if we has ODI's planned ahead of tests.
