We are deprived of watching our upcoming cricketers coz BCCI decides not to telecast any domestic limited overs game to save some money. :((

Irfan has become a bits and pieces player now who can neither bat nor bowl. At one point was he a pretty decent bowler and was a promising bat. Yusuf is more of a hit and miss type batsman, the Indian version of Afridi and his bowling is less than ordinary. Jadeja can't accelerate, but can be a decent bat, bowling is good one day and totally off another day. Ashwin bats better in tests than ODIs and is not a slogger either which is what you need at his slot. It is safe to say that the search for the elusive all rounder is still on.

And this is where the ipl could help,as the bcci seems to be interested only in making money.The franchises could find and develop talent and bring them into the spotlight.

From whatever I have seen of him in last couple of years, he just seems another Jadeja, nothing special. Actually, Jadeja and Abdulla both are very similar in all departments- bowling, batting, fielding, physique and both are no big hitters.

Even though I follow IPL but expecting something so positive from it , is not good.

I dont't think it's that bad,one needs to have some talent to shine even in ipl.And i think it's upto the players to make the best of the exposure.That will ultimately decide whether ipl would help the national team or not.

No, but I want Indian cricketers to be taller and stronger. Not the one like 'bechara type' look wala Vinay Kumar who is a fast bowler.

There are some other contenders as well like Bhuvneshwar Kumar and Abhishek Nayar and LR Shukla. I don't know but can someone suggest some names from the south for all-rounders. There should be a lot more contenders for all-rounders slot but the problem is BCCI don't give much attention towards domestic cricket, so we are unable to find new names. If these domestic matches were given much importance like telecasting them, arranging more meaningful matches, then we would have known more and more names

Abhishek Nayar is in terrific form with the bat,but his bowling i think is mediocre.same with shukla. Rishi Dhawan as you mentioned is a good prospect,opens the bowling too.
