thats stupid rule. softer ball was not easy to hit in middle overs. And no reverse swing possible in most cases. They totally killed all bowlers including spinners. the power play rule has been stupid as well, there is no strategy involved in batting pwoerplay now. Every team is taking it from 36-40 with bowling powerplay from 16-20.

ICC as usual is useless. They have much more important things to do such as test viewership going down, not enough crowds, matchfixing but what did they deceide to change. The ball rules. Yeah have two new balls and make the pitch flat, shorten the boundary, make the outfields fast, have 5 more overs of powerplay, free hit after no balls. Its always about BATTING, BATTING, BATTING. What about pace and spin bowling. They are both destroyed now. Lets go watch Australia make 450 and South Africa chase it down. The answer to make games more intersting is not more runs. Its more competitive games and lesser number of games. I used to wake up early in the morning to watch games in OZ. The totals were around 230-250 and the games were close and interesting. We want that kinda contest.

Good point. The lower the number of runs, the closer the games 'seem', hence, adding to the entertainment value.

ICC review the rules annually. That's how the idiotic super-sub rule was removed after a year of its introduction.
