Anyhow, here is what I would like to see from No. 3 to No.6 Kohli :- Man is finding his ground in test cricket. One of the few bright sparks in test series. His technique against moving ball still seems dicy. Rohit Sharma :- Yes he is my man crush :) Or maybe I believe that he is just the greatest batting talent from India in last 15 or so years. I know people are losing faith in him but it is not like we have embarrassment of riches. Yuvraj Singh :- This just a gut feeling. Once he recovers, I think he will be hungry for success. He knows he will have unfulfilled career without a stint in test cricket. I would want him to do well for atleast 2 years. Pujara / Rahane :- The above 3 have some international cricket experience. These two guys have shown the talunt at times, but I would like to see a lot more of them.

Also, I remember watching the 18 year old live in domestic cricket in 1998 and betting that India will beat Australia in ICC championship if they pick him. And rest as they say is history. I hope I am right again.

He won us the cb series in 2008 against a very good team aus and in t20 world cup in wi when nobody could put bat to ball on a bouncy jamaica pitch against tait,johnson he saved us.Rohit sharma is the best batting talent in the world ,the amount of time he has playing fast bowling ,Can play shots allround,Just needs to improve shot selection.

Like Ian Chappell said, you need a No.3 willing to take on the short ball, so that you don't let the bowlers dictate terms. Best example of that is Ponting in his prime. 4. Rohit Sharma - Our best strokeplayer, and despite his poor form and attitude, skill wise he is still our best young batsman. 5. Cheteswhar Pujara - Even though his stats don't show it, I was quite impressed with the way he handled himself in South Africa. Faced Dale Steyn bowling one of his best spells on a difficult wicket and still looked reasonably solid. He has made runs around the world in first-class cricket and A-tours. 6. Manoj Tiwary - I would say, along with Badrinath, the most poorly handled domestic batsman in Indian cricket at the moment. He has been treated very badly by the selectors. He definitely deserves first crack at cementing a middle order spot once Tendulkar and Laxman retire. Other batsmen who I think should be in contention but don't deserve the first chance include: Murali Vijay, Robin Uthappa, Manish Pandey, Shikhar Dhawan P.S. I left Rahane out because I think Rahane should replace Sehwag as an opener in Tests :p

Can i list the number of failures he has had. At the end of the day your average shows how good a player you are.
