R. Jadeja was instrumental in our 5-0 win our England. Vinay Kumar was good at death. PK is out of form and low on confidence...I guess he should be replaced by Dinda. I would drop R Jadeja for Rahul Sharma..

To be honest a top cricketing nation will not have bowlers of this class playing in their team, PK very mediocre, noting else to offer in terms of fielding , batting, very dependent on conditions same for Jadeja and to an extent VK.Dinda, R Sharma, and we shouldve had Gony , Nechim also in the ODI team.

This is more of a Dhoni XI than an Indian XI. Rahul Sharma and Dinda should play in place of Jadeja and Praveen Kumar. Why does Dhoni insist on going with bowlers who are not even good enough to bowl their full quota of overs.

The main point is whether any of these bowlers can be a genuine wicket taker and match winner. Sure Vinay picked up wkts yesterday but that was at the death with SL lower order slogging with reqd RR 9 or thereabouts. The real damage was done by Irfan and Ashwin's double strike. PK was good a couple of years ago when he could move the new ball and now he has lost the only thing going for him, coz without the swing he's nothin but a 125 kph pie-chucker. Vinay at the moment is better than him but surely he's not a wicket taker. If India has to win a match by putting up 250 on the board I doubt any of our bowlers can do so. That's why people are asking for Umesh to be in the team. Sure he's not experienced and was carted around in Aus but when he gets it right he's a genuine wicket taker as he showed in our last game against Aus when he took out both set batsmen. It's just that our batting was so poo we couldn't even chase 240-250. What our team lacks is a genuine wkt taker and hopefully Umesh/Ishant/Aaron can fill the void.
