anotherhawkeye Posted March 14, 2012 Posted March 14, 2012 Is any one getting it? I'll, this Friday. Pretty stoked about the high res screen.
Old guy Posted March 14, 2012 Posted March 14, 2012 i dont like tabs or tablets.. and i hate apple but there tablets and phones are good so i owuld go for it if i needed one
Crookbond Posted March 14, 2012 Posted March 14, 2012 Not much in it, iPad2 still does pretty much ok.
Holysmoke Posted March 14, 2012 Posted March 14, 2012 super screen, ram increased to a gig, graphics increased, but overall processor speed remains the same, better cameras. Much better than an ipad 2 but I dont see the point in getting it if you already have one.
Crookbond Posted March 14, 2012 Posted March 14, 2012 Apple’s new iPad uses SHA to boost resolution. What the heck does that mean? The iPad 3 reportedly uses at least twice as many LEDs as the iPad 2 and its screen is believed to draw more power as a result. This likely explains why the device is heavier than its predecessor; the iPad 3 probably has a larger battery. As for its display quality, some have claimed that the iPad’s 2048×1536 resolution isn’t really a Retina display because its PPI is “just” 264 as opposed to the iPad’s 330. This isn’t accurate. The term Retina display broadly means “the point at which a person with 20/20 vision can no longer distinguish individual pixels.” That figure changes considerably depending on your distance from the display. At 12 inches, 287 PPI is good enough to be classed a retina display. At 15 inches, the figure is 229 PPI. People tend to hold tablets farther away from themselves than they do a mobile phone, which explains why Apple can justifiably claim to offer a Retina display with a lower pixel density. http://www.extremetech.com/computing/122381-apples-new-ipad-uses-sha-to-boost-resolution-what-the-heck-does-that-mean

I don't care about specs like CPU; IPad 2 was blazing fast as it is. But that screen, oh man. IPhone like screen on 10 inch...
ravishingravi Posted March 15, 2012 Posted March 15, 2012 iPad 1 is good enough as of now. To me camera serves no purpose on this device.
EnterTheVoid Posted March 15, 2012 Posted March 15, 2012 Hell no, those $1000 dollars better spent elsewhere.
Holysmoke Posted March 15, 2012 Posted March 15, 2012 iPad 1 is good enough as of now. To me camera serves no purpose on this device. really? ipad one cant even read heavy webpages quickly. It's constantly running out of the 256 mb ram that it has.
Magneto Posted March 15, 2012 Posted March 15, 2012 very expensive thing. dunno how people have so much money to spend insuch unwise manner
anotherhawkeye Posted March 15, 2012 Author Posted March 15, 2012 ^ not 'that' expensive in the US. Its chump change compared to monthly mortgage or same as one month car payment.
Old guy Posted March 15, 2012 Posted March 15, 2012 You hate them' date=' but you'll get their product? I will never understand teenagers.[/quote'] if i needed one.. thats wht i wrote.. sorry was in a bit of hurry :P i meant if i ever bought any tablet cos of any reason..i would get ipad..
ravishingravi Posted March 15, 2012 Posted March 15, 2012 really? ipad one cant even read heavy webpages quickly. It's constantly running out of the 256 mb ram that it has. Well yes. But it still meets my requirements. I still am in awe of the kind of resources that I get access to. Even if I utilize 1 % of those resources, I think it will add lot of value to me.
Cricket Tragic Posted March 15, 2012 Posted March 15, 2012 Not decided whether to upgrade from iPad 2.
Clarke Posted March 15, 2012 Posted March 15, 2012 Considering the Transformer Infinity, the overclocked Touchpad seems to be ok for now.
anotherhawkeye Posted March 17, 2012 Author Posted March 17, 2012 It's very nice. Retina display rocks!!! Of course, not worth for those with iPad 2 though. It will do while i wait and watch what windows can do in tablets. Sent from my new iPad using Tapatalk HD
