Sachin Tendulkar has taken his decision; onus now on national selectors By Madan Mohan Sachin Tendulkar addressed questions on his future in One-day Internationals (ODIs) in a press conference and has seemingly decided to play it straight. He has categorically said he is not thinking of retirement and would do so on the day that he felt he no longer had the same passion to represent the nation in cricket anymore. Interestingly, he had also said that it would be selfish to retire when on top and also that the decision of when to retire should be left to him. Ever since India won the World Cup 2011, it was widely assumed that Tendulkar would soon step down from ODIs because he had pursued that trophy without success through the length of his long international career. Nothing of the sort happened and the subject of his retirement was raised in every subsequent ODI tournament that involved India. Honestly speaking... He is money printing machine.... He prints lots of ££££ $$$$$ for BCCI and corporate world. BCCi will wait till a new minting machine(probably Kohli) is created. So forget the quesytion of BCCI dropping him, I think BCCI may have requested him to stay till brand Kohli is created

Cheeka is either an innocent fanboy or afraid of talking about sachin's retirement. He quoted sachin's match winning 50 vs pak but he forgot the other match winning 100th 100. :dontknow:

I really don't understand what the fuss is all about - he wants to play and he's still fit enough to play and good enough to perform at the highest level so he should continue playing.

If you keep the age issue aside' date=' is there any other reason why you would not want him in the team? His last innings against Pak was really fluent[/quote'] Sachin hasnt won man of the series for some time now.... That is the main concern.... I think his performance is just as good if not better than the best batsman in our side. So, to me, on relative performance basis he deserves to be there...
