2 Key things needed for 4th Test We have to take a good hard look at ourselves, the way we have performed has been a disgrace and if we just rock up without big changes for the 4th test we risk joking our way to a 1st defeat at home to England in 28 years, a draw while not what we hoped for or expected before the series started will have to do. For this to happen we must first of all ensure that the Nagpur pitch is a rank turner, sure this can bakc fire indeed it did in Mumbai but the fact of the matter is we need to take 20 poles, so we therefore need to be proactive and create a pitch so that bowlers who have not been taking wickets and come and take some wicket. A road given we will be 2-1 down will not be acceptable and frankly if we prepare a flat deck in these circumstances we may as well hold up a white flafg, hopefully Dhoni will get his way and we do get that rank turner! We also must bring in Jadeja and Tiwary, two guys who are in very good form plus have no demons from this series at all as they have not been involved in it! Jajeja just scored a triple hundred and we should not forget how his spin bowling had England in fits in the ODI series last year. Another key change would be to bring in Yusuf Pathan providing it is a rank turner, his darts will be very useful on such a wicket, he has picked up wickets at domestic level on rank turners. Plus in a low scoring game, the impetus he can provide with the bat can easily make a difference, a quivk 30 or 40 from Yusuf on crumbling pitch is likely to take the game away from England when every one else is struggling to score with any real freedom. Including Tiwary and Jadeja would be useful but the two key things we need for victory in the 4th test is a rank turner and to ensure that we have Yusuf Pathan in the starting 11!

Indian selectors likely to wield axe on non-performers ahead of fourth Test match

With India on the verge of conceding a 1-2 series lead to England in the ongoing four-Test rubber, the national selectors are likely to ring in some changes in the squad for the fourth and last Test in Nagpur, starting December 13. The five selectors, under chairman Sandeep Patil, will meet at the team hotel on Sunday to pick the squad for the Nagpur Test. Yuvraj Singh's spot is likely to be up for debate with talented Manoj Tiwary and Rohit Sharma seen as a possible replacement for the stylish left-hander. Bengal batsman Tiwary scored an impressive 93 against England XI during their warm-up match against India A. He also smashed a fine 191 against Gujarat in a Ranji Trophy game which should attract the eyes of the selectors in tomorrow's meeting. Rohit Sharma is another name which is doing the rounds after the right-hander scored eye-catching 112 and 79 in the ongoing Ranji Trophy games. Many of the top order batsmen have not shown the desired consistency in the series. Virat Kohli has been woefully out of form but the selectors are likely to persist with him. If the problems with the famed Indian batting department were not enough, the selectors will also look to fix the issues in the home team's bowling attack, which looked toothless in the last two Tests in comparison to the English bowlers' fine showing. The pace duo of Zaheer Khan and Ishant Sharma looked lacklustre in the ongoing third Test at the Eden Gardens here and their selection will definitely be under scrutiny. Zaheer, who took just as wicket after bowling 30 overs in England's first innings during the ongoing third Test, looked unfit and was also criticised for not taking starts while fielding. But all said and done, what might go in Zaheer's favour is his experience. Comeback man Ishant was equally out of sorts, claiming just one wicket in his return Test after more than 10 months. Bengal pacer Ashok Dinda is a sure selection and in all probabilility, he might even make his Test debut in Nagpur. In the spin department, Pragyan Ojha's place in the side appears to be guaranteed after returning as the best bowler for India with four wickets. Even though, Ashwin has drawm some criticism for his bowling in the last two Tests, the off-spinner may just make the cut after saving India from the ignominy of an innings defeat in the ongoing Test with an unbeaten 83-run knock in the second innings. The selectors might also be forced to give a look to Amit Mishra and Piyush Chawla as the English batsmen are susceptible against leg-spin. Mishra, who has 13 wickets from four Ranji matches, has a slight edge over Chawla having claimed 4-67 in the warm-up match between India A and England XI just before the start of the series.

expect raina in place of yuvraj murali vijay in place of opener and changes like this....maybe jaddu is coming :hysterical:
Raina's not coming surely. Vijay is already in the squad. They'll not select Jadeja in a hurry. If they drop Gambhir, Mukund is in. And if they drop Yuvraj, Tiwary is in. If they drop Ishant, Awana/Pankaj Singh is probably in. No more changes.

What do you think about dropping Mahindra Singh Phony?
Dont know who Phony is but our captain MS Dhoni, is one of the best captains in world cricket of all time! having led us to the world number 1 ranking in Test Cricket, the world Cup, led Chennai and to IPL title twice and has also reached the pinnacle of the sport by leading CSK to champions trophy glory

Tiwary for Yuvraj is the only change which may happen - although there also I have doubts whether it will actually happen. The openers are not going to be dropped. Kohl will also be retained. In bowling, Yadav still looks unfit so I think Ishant may get another chance.

Dinda will replace Ishant surely. Kohli CANNOT be dropped; he's just having a lean patch. Maybe dropped after the SA series after 11 consecutive Test failures.
