Brainfade Posted December 12, 2012 Posted December 12, 2012 well nets is practice for the match. And the more inetnsive that is the better prepared they are. The point is about the guys who ARE at the nets and the kind of bowling they are facing. Kohli facing throwdowns from 'Satish' is not exactly good prep for facing up to Anderson ! Yep. Releasing them for Ranji is not the problem. It's the bad timing that is. To me, most puzzling was Ashwin's decision to sit out practice. If anyone needs some moving around, it is him.
namasteji1 Posted December 12, 2012 Posted December 12, 2012 Ashwin will anyway bowl more than 40 overs in an innings as expected, so he will practice in match only. :P
The Outsider Posted December 12, 2012 Posted December 12, 2012 I get a feeling English bowlers might be injuring others like kicking someone on the bum while he is sleeping or tripping someone over to get a chance to bowl against the Indian batting.

indiefan Posted December 12, 2012 Posted December 12, 2012 Recall of Chawla? http://www.espncricinfo.com/india-v-england-2012/content/current/story/596871.html There will be at least two changes for India after Zaheer Khan and Yuvraj Singh were dropped, but such is the state of chaos around the team it is not clear which way they'll go. It might be back to three frontline spinners, meaning a recall for Piyush Chawla, :nervous::omg:
CG Posted December 12, 2012 Posted December 12, 2012 Anything is possible. But chawla performance tonight will determine his selection.
indiefan Posted December 12, 2012 Posted December 12, 2012 lucky charm hai :nice: That's a different perspective :haha:
King Tendulkar Posted December 12, 2012 Posted December 12, 2012 Chawla selction is bonkers. Looks rubbish as in does not even turn the leggie, so techincally to the eye looks no way good enough even for odis. Perfomances for india have been c.rap as well, aslo perfomances in FC have been rubbish as well. Dont get this pick at all. It seems only been picked cos leggie and so determined to play a leggie, that even willing to play a pathetic one. Chawlas selction is awful. Its another selction were every tom dick and harry knows he is not good enough but still selctors pick him. Scary stuff p.s bhaji should be dropped but not to be replaced by this waste of space called chawla
CG Posted December 12, 2012 Posted December 12, 2012 Chawla is managed by rhiti sports management .nuff said
Old guy Posted December 12, 2012 Posted December 12, 2012 Chawla is managed by rhiti sports management .nuff said :((
King Tendulkar Posted December 12, 2012 Posted December 12, 2012 Chawla is managed by rhiti sports management .nuff said O for gods sake I am on the verge of suicide on this news. Indian cricket stinks. Totally stinks. I could not fathom how he could be picked. But this explains all. Why no outrage in media at this selection?? I am off to Chennai to aasinate the lump of lard!
indiefan Posted December 12, 2012 Posted December 12, 2012 He'll bowl enough short balls for cook and pietersen to dream about double hundreds tonight..
maniac Posted December 12, 2012 Posted December 12, 2012 Chawla is managed by rhiti sports management .nuff said Makes me wonder why most sports management teams have signed up mediocre talent Tenvic-Vinay,Mithun,Aravind Rhiti-Dhoni,Chawla,Raina(in tests),[B]Vijay,Jadeja ,Bhajji(now)etc I mean Kohli,Ashwin,Pujara,Yadav etc are not part of any sports group. These guys must be some c***py business men for sure.
NareshK Posted December 12, 2012 Posted December 12, 2012 So Jadeja not going to be picked ? Rahane to debut ? Or will there be Jadeja and Chawla in the team ?

Out of a total of 308. Against a mighty opponent - Vidarbha - on this very ground. He took the 10th wicket. The only reasons I can come up with for his selection: (a) We are desperate for variety (b) He was already there, so they didn't have to pay his travel costs © something sinister.
R.D forever Posted December 12, 2012 Posted December 12, 2012 Chawla was the only one who went to dhoni's wedding i guess.. Friends forever :--D

Thought it looked totally dodgy but now the reason is crystal clear. This stinks.
Eternal Atma Posted December 12, 2012 Posted December 12, 2012 Looks like Rahane and Chawla are playing. Don't agree with it. Not so much about Rahane, that's fine but then our bowling attack is far from balanced. Chawla/Ojha/Ashwin/Ishant, nooooo. Only Ojha is guaranteed there to at least bowl half threatening. Jaddu at 6 to help balance the bowling and play 2 seamers-dinda and awana.
NareshK Posted December 12, 2012 Posted December 12, 2012 There's no huge mystery behind his selection. He is a leggie and they want some variation. Apart from him, there is Mishra who got an opportunity in the past and couldnt do much. There's not much choice.
