Cook might finish with more 100s and runs, etc but that doesn't mean he will even be the best player of his generation. tendulkar will finish with more 100s and total tuns (ODIs+Tests) than anyone but IMO there were many batsmen of his generation such as Lara, Kallis, etc who are better players than him. As for Cook, he might finish with a great record but the current best batsmen in the world is Amla.

Is Dhoni living in the 70s? Why enforce follow on? This is what I posted when hearing follow on enforced "Big mistake Should bat till lunch day 4. Bowlers need some rest and could tire out england batters as well. The days of enforcing follow on are over We going to struggle today" This is so old school. Bowlers are tired. Spinners fingers are tired. Next test match starts Friday. Why grind your bowlers in to dust. We should batting now and hammering them. They will get more physically tired and mentally tired if poms fiedling. Plus our bowlers would be having lovely rest, ready to go and fire at them on day 4 with nearly 2 days to bowl them out. Really dumb move by Dhoni. Now we should still win but going to be real effort potentially with real strain physically.

No one enforces follow on these days. Silly move. Just knackering our boys out, when should be knackering england out. Bat till lunch day 4 and then bowl. They will be exausted and we fresh as daisy, with bowlers roaring in. Now we are going through motions Time warp captaincy We should still win but now going to have to do it the hard way
