But even in ODIs I think it should be 12 teams and not 10. Automatic qualifiaction for test playing antions and 2 slots for the other assocaite members. Have two groups and then follow 1992 WC format :--D

Why? As I understand, Bangladesh needs to make up for their low NRR and not just win. So suppose they need to chase 190 in 16 overs to qualify, in 6 overs it will be around 65-70 which I think will be impossible considering most of the overs will be bowled by spinners.

Also if they bat first, the revised target will be very less. So the margin of defeat will be less for Pakistan to get knocked out. Hence I think even this will benefit Bangladesh.
