His argument is that there was minimal deflection - fair enough. But, IMO I have played a lot of cricket at a decent level myself too and I would not count those edge takes as easy as the batsman is swishing at a ball and the keeper may not always have a proper sight. Not "regulation", not "very difficult" - somewhere in between. Well said. :two_thumbs_up: Didn't know abut MTC though! :omg:

SA would look to bat second too. I dont think there's a lot of difference between India, Pakistan and Saffers in terms of NRR. Pakistan won 1 close game and lost one by a big margin. India won by a big margin in 1 game and lost the other one badly. SA lost one game closely and lost one badly which means they have the worst NRR although not too bad to push them out of contention.
vamos_rafa Posted October 1, 2012 Posted October 1, 2012 I think, it's more to do with giving UV the confidence. Raina has been in some kind of run scoring form but UV needs more match practice. Yesterday was the ideal scenario for him to score runs. Even against Oz when he came, it was more like we had a pretty good run-rate and we needed consolidation.
