For example Ganguly's team reached something like 9 finals and hardly won anything. Pakis and kiwis have been reaching semis consistently but what's teh point if you win it? Same with Loins and reaching finals. At the end of the day winning the tourney is what matters.

Cricket is important only to us Indians and the sc loosers around us, because we suck in other sports. You know this right ? First world citizens generally will not bother about sports beyond a point unless its soccer in europe.

Exactly what I said. You claimed India were the next best after Australia in global tourneys. West Indies is clearly better than India as well, which puts India at number 3 maybe out of 8 teams.

India has 2 WCs and 1 WT20 whereas WI have 2 WCs. And I'm not even including the World Championship of Cricket in 85 which was like a World Cup with all major teams participating in the tourney.

Forget about the exact number of trophies - WI might have a WT20 tomorrow as well. And they have a Champions Trophy as well - India has only shared it. And just because test cricket does not have a global tournament it can't be ignored. Australia and West Indies have clearly been better sides than India historically. Even Pakistan's test record is better than India. South Africa have a much better test record than India. Humiliation was what happened to India last year, not losing in some T20 match.

And ignoring the most difficult form of cricket just because it does not have a global tournament while including joke like T20 says more about the desire to score some online points than any serious discussion about the historical performance and strength of cricket in each country.

In 92, Wasim & Mushtaq was supposed to tame the Indians, in 96 it was Waqar who was going to make us eat dirt before Jadeja ended Waqar's hype. In 99 it was supposed to be Akhtar and Wasim but they failed as usual as Prasad showed them who the boss was. In 2003 Akhtar was telling anyone who would listen what he would do to Tendulkar and other Indian batsmen before Tendulkar mentally disintegrated Akhtar to such an extent he didn't even want to bowl a 2nd over :hysterical: In 2007 we saw Pakis quake in their boots and choke in T20 Cup twice. Plus we all know what they did in 2011 WC semi when Gul was supposed to own the Indian batsmen before Sehwag mentally crippled Gul for life from which Gul is unlikely to ever recover from. In fact the mauling was so severe even Americans who didn't know anything about the game could see it and pity Gul :haha: And then we saw Pakis choke as usual in 2012 T20 Cup as is the norm :cantstop: Now over to 2015 WC

I.e. after Zaheer's 1st ball, India 260 runs, Pakistan 4 runs. Someone who has never watched/played cricket, a score reading India 260 : 4 Pakistan, after the 1st ball of 2nd innings would mean nothing in context of where the two teams stand. Whilst cricket watchers would know in ODIs that's around par score. Infact is there any other sport similar to cricket in this nature? :hmmm:

Regards to "humiliation" piece you are once again taking things too literally and seriously as is the norm with you. This thread was for poking fun at Aussies the way they were owned by WI in the semi and you are here comparing the records of all teams throughout their history including Tests :facepalm: Go read the OP once again and do you really think this is what the intent of the article is? You are the sort of a party pooper who asks everyone to go home by 10 coz that's the "curfew" time. If you don't like the fact folks are having a bit of a laugg don't post on the thread or maybe open another thread moaning the quality of internet forums and how good things were back in your days. But you gotta end this moaning and looking at everything as if Mars space mission depends on it.
