I'll put this into perspective for you. Ojha: 62 test wickets at an average of 34.5 with a strike rate of 74.2 Ashwin: 31 test wickets at an average of 34.48 with a strike rate of 65.4 Graeme Swann: 182 wickets at an average of 27.97 with a strike rate of 56.6 Swann Almost doubles Ojha + Ashwin's wickets put together and conceedes 7 runs less per wicket. It's a no comparison. Panesar: 142 wickets at an average of 33.2 with a strike rate of 71.6. Panesar has more wickets by a significant amount (around 50) than Ashwin + Ojha put together. Explain how Ojha + Ashwin > Swann + Panesar? They are not in the same class.

That takes delusion to a new level. Swann + Panesar are epochs ahead of Ashwin + Ojha. At don't even try and bring Dartbajhan into it. Here's what will happen. You create 4 pancakes or highways vs England/Aus, you'll probably draw vs Aus 0-0 and you'll probably lose to England, if the SC bowling by the England quickies have been anything to go by. Indian quicks won't really trouble them and England/Aus have both got devastating fast bowlers. Create greentops or swinging/seaming pitches India will get hammered to pieces. Quite frankly Pattinson,Cummins, Siddle, Harris or Anderson, Broad, Bresnan, Finn will slaughter anything in front of them in a greentop. Create rank turners, you'll easily beat Australia, given Lyon is utter shambles but it might backfire vs England. By that time the old guard who are masters of spin will be gone and we don't know how the new young batsman are against the likes of Swann yet. It will be a test of fire. However, it does give India a much better chance given both the teams recent woes against spin.
Isn't anything special. No offence but bowling to Pakistani and Lankan batsmen isn't a mark of excellence.

Here I'll tell you. What is Rehman's test avg? What was it before the England series. On series against England and Swann and Ashwin/Ojha's averages will be exchanged. I admit Swann is better but Swann will be bowling to expert players of spin and Ashwin/Ojha will be bowling to batsmen who made Rehman/Herath (same level as Ahswin/Ojha) look world beaters.

Not at all. Kohli etc played him with ease.

tu result oriented pitches maang raha, kya mazaak hai yeh....i seem to recall india getting turned over for 200 odd by the west indies in dilli and in mumbai and lets not forget what happened against new zealand when even an out of tune coldplay lead singer chris martin took a fiver against the indian batting lineup on a phlat track at motibad naya batting lineup banao without laxman, tendulkar, sehwag, etc. and then india might have a chance, with the same ppl there is no way result oriented pe yeh on match jitayenge, aur tu dekhta reh jayega apne illegal internet stream pe england arent as s we think, cos they just won a test in mother lanka against lankan flat track expert batting lineup that always scores huge runs at home

lol @ result oriented pitches , india would never risk it after the recent 8-0, would not want another whitewash against england , the only way you can see result oriented pitches is by asking shiv sena to dig em up , because the bcci aint preparing them .

Yup as a bowling unit they are better than Swann. And at home I would expect both Aswin & Ojha to take more wkts against Eng batsmen than what Swann would take against India.
Ashwin and Ojha are better than Swann? Not sure if you're serious!

Doesn't matter. If having better spinners meant winning in India, SL would have loads of them instead of not yet winning a match.

Compare the records of the spinners in India. Swann averages 40, Monty averages 56. Ashwin is at 23 and Ojha 30. Even our pacers are at par with English pacers. Jimmy averages 30 and Barbie is at 67 :)) In comparison, Zak is at 34, Umesh 21 and Ishant 32.

Ashwin and Ojha are far better than any spin options from England & Aus. And the most important part is that our batsmen are far better players of spin than English and Aussies.
No they are not.

As I mentioned earlier they are a better bowling unit and I would expect them to take more wkts against English batsmen than Swann would be able to take against Indian batsmen. Swann was in the Eng team when India chased 387 on the 4th & 5th days on a turning track. Swann was also in India when Eng were blanked 0-5 in odis few months back where all our spinners outbowled Swann.

That was because he was in the worst form of his life. Patel bowled much better than Swann that series, does that make Patel > Swann? No, it doesn't. What about the Swann who destroyed the biggest HTB's in the world just a week ago? What about the Swann who, at the oval, toyed with India's middle order? Put it this way, if Swann is in his top form come November, even the best spin players in the world could do nothing. Much like if Steyn/Anderson were on their top form on a greenpitch, theres nothing any batsman could do regardless of how good they are.

If it's a turning pitch where Swann is gonna be unplayable I would back India to beat England on that pitch coz Ojha and Ashwin will be more than unplayable for English batsmen.

bcci will produce flat pitches so they make as much $ as possible
Star broadcasting deal means that BCCI has to prepare flat wickets to last 5 day in test....otherwise Star can say WTF BCCI I have only 3 or 4 days of exciting Test cricket to broadcast & lose the potential of the 5th day. Both parties here fail to understand that the excitement was due to result oriented wicket/
