How can BCCI make the IPL better

    • Longer tournament with more matches

    • Decision Review System (DRS)

    • Have 2 IPLs each year

In my opinion IPL is not as exciting as it use to be (maybe because I am a Deccan Chargers fan) but with falling TV rating and low scoring games and the dominance of 2 teams it seems that the excitement level is not as it use to be So any suggestions any new ideas lets discuss........

No TIMEOUT or whatever fancy name BCCI put it. Plus atleast 5 foreign players each team. & treat each IPL team equally...& not favor CSK & MI (the punishment for Bhajji for arguing with on field umpire proves how BCCI favors it)

The tournament is too short. Make it a year-long tournament with monthly winners. The team who wins for the most number of months becomes the champion.

Very Interesting idea never heard of any kind of sports league that has a monthly winner before.......

Here are my suggestions: -Have a soft salary cap for ex 8 million and teams can spend more but pay 400% luxury tax which goes into IPL revenue stream and is redistributed back to all the teams and BCCI -capped and uncapped players go into auction as equals -remove undisclosed deals ie make all deals available to the public -Have a system where you can play 5 foreign players if 3 Indian uncapped players are on the team (maybe not this exact formula but something like this) -I am sick of all teams wearing blue..... yes including my team DC, more than half of the teams have some kind of blue uniforms DC, PW, MI, RR, DD -Those strategic time out have to go! -bowlers should get more Man of Match awards.... -Maybe an all star match like NBA or NFL mid season something like North vs South might help

Any kind of ways to spend more than salary cap, teams such as MI would be rolling and buying every player -capped and uncapped players go into auction as equals That is not the issue, rather it is about the order in the auction. How are the players distributed in the auction particular when there have been accusations against certain teams on manipulating the auction order. -remove undisclosed deals ie make all deals available to the public Agree, need to make things more transparent -Have a system where you can play 5 foreign players if 3 Indian uncapped players are on the team (maybe not this exact formula but something like this) Simple and easy: at most 4 international players seems much better -I am sick of all teams wearing blue..... yes including my team DC, more than half of the teams have some kind of blue uniforms DC, PW, MI, RR, DD I would rather focus more on the cricket itself than some style -Those strategic time out have to go! Does not seem to be a problem -bowlers should get more Man of Match awards.... It is a non-issue. I do not see any bias with MOM as players deserving seem to receive it -Maybe an all star match like NBA or NFL mid season something like North vs South might help Nope, it is not a long season like NBA.

@someone The reason for a soft salary cap is because its better for the richer teams to have some kind of way to spend their money transparently rather than doing it under the table.... plus 400% luxury tax like the NBA would mean that they wont be spending a lot more than This will give teams that have not done well in the past a chance to spend temporary and make a run at the finals for a season or 2 There should also be be some room for bonus for players performing well.... this can be at the digression of the team

Reduce all those meaningless International matches..Play IPL during the real Cricket season instead of the hottest months of the year. Have a mandatory dress code for cheerleaders (Cheerleaders dressess like the ones ofPWI, KKR & CSK-should penalise the franchises by deducting points)...Instead of strategic timeouts have Cheerleaders timeouts. Play IPL for at least 4 months. Increase the number of teams to 12 at least. Start CLT20 immediatly after IPL. Start an IPL for ladies..The dresscode for players should be the same as for cheerleaders with the same franchises.
