Texan Posted April 18, 2012 Posted April 18, 2012 Who do you think is the most worthless player of IPL 2012? Definition of a worthless player: A player who is earning big bucks this year but flopping miserably. I think Vinay Kumar and Yusuf Pathan would be the front-runners currently.
someone Posted April 18, 2012 Posted April 18, 2012 Yusuf Pathan wins comfortably. BTW too early to judge.
yoda Posted April 18, 2012 Posted April 18, 2012 YKP hands down as of now. Batting poor, bowling ordinary.
bulbul Posted April 18, 2012 Posted April 18, 2012 VK bowled well in atleast 3 matches.. because of couple of 50's he was hightlighted :giggle: YK is total flop , so has Pujara and till yesterday Tiwari but you forgot biggest of the names..the guy who gave away more runs by his feilding than he made in 5 matches so far :hysterical:
Texan Posted April 18, 2012 Author Posted April 18, 2012 Yusuf Pathan wins comfortably. BTW too early to judge. Yes, too early. The contenders will keep changing, but I find it very intriguing how poorly some of the most highly paid stars are performing.
rkt.india Posted April 18, 2012 Posted April 18, 2012 but you forgot biggest of the names..the guy who gave away more runs by his feilding than he made in 5 matches so far :hysterical: Daddu Tum:giggle:
rkt.india Posted April 18, 2012 Posted April 18, 2012 Yes' date=' too early. Roshanrocks Posted April 18, 2012 Posted April 18, 2012 Worst value for monies so far... THIS IPL Y Pathan Dhoni (batting wise) Karthik D Hussey Best value for money player Rahane (by a country mile)
bulbul Posted April 18, 2012 Posted April 18, 2012 Daddu Tum:giggle: he is the biggest failure so far 61 runs off 57 balls from 5 matches and add to it number runs he was given in field
Texan Posted April 18, 2012 Author Posted April 18, 2012 Best value for money player Rahane (by a country mile) Not an iota of doubt about this one. What asses the Ambani's are to let go such a talent from the MI side.
bulbul Posted April 18, 2012 Posted April 18, 2012 They mostly are seriously under pressure to perform due to huge money that has been given to them while players who do not have that pressure are enjoying their game and performing well. Precisely...also unlike in the first editions where they made their names in relatively unknown teams as a unknown players now they are not getting preferential treatments by their captian remmeber how Warne used to promote Jaddu,YP even Kmaran etc
someone Posted April 18, 2012 Posted April 18, 2012 Not an iota of doubt about this one. What asses the Ambani's are to let go such a talent from the MI side. Actually, Rahane would have never gotten a game there. So MI thankfully accepted to let go of him.
Texan Posted April 18, 2012 Author Posted April 18, 2012 Actually' date=' Rahane would have never gotten a game there. So MI thankfully accepted to let go of him.[/quote'] Good point. RR seems like a perfect team for players looking to prove themselves. In IPL1, it was YKP. Now, it's Rahane. Of course, no comparison between the 2. Rahane is a classy player and the future of Indian cricket.
rkt.india Posted April 18, 2012 Posted April 18, 2012 Not an iota of doubt about this one. What asses the Ambani's are to let go such a talent from the MI side. MI have too many resources, too many to chose from, and in that situation many does not get a game. Look at the last game, they had Herschel Gibbs sitting on the bench, but they played Davey Jacobs. If Gibbs is available to open, who the hell will open with Jacobs.
bulbul Posted April 18, 2012 Posted April 18, 2012 Binny is not getting a game in :rr: but should have got place in :rcb:..even if he cant play international bowlers atleast ahould have played well against our trundlers and cal bowl atleast 1/2 overs Dravid poached him and kept in bench :hitler:
shinchan Posted April 18, 2012 Posted April 18, 2012 so far it's yusuf,VK,saurav tiwari, david hussey, irfan pathan. as per op's criteria you can't call ganguli worthless.he was bought for just 400000$ & they don't have anyone to captain the team.PWI will be less concerned about his form till team is performing well
