I am with Pietersen here, "....when you've got second-rate Australians getting gigs." During the 1st week of IPL, each team had 2 Aussies playing for them. But there is still a minimum one playing in each team. There is quota for 1 Aussie player in each IPL tea which is not surprising considering the backroom staff is dominated by Australians. More second-rate Aussie will join after the WI-Aus Tests conclude, and expect mediocre T20 players to get starring berths. The biggest culprit has been Deccan playing club cricketers from Australia after failure after failure. Chennai Super Kings George Bailey, Doug Bollinger, Ben Hilfenhaus, Michael Hussey. Andy Bichel, Steve Rixon (assistant coaches) Deccan Chargers Dan Christian, Daniel Harris, Chris Lynn, Cameron White. Darren Lehmann (head coach) Delhi Daredevils Aaron Finch, Glenn Maxwell, David Warner Kings Punjab XI Adam Gilchrist (captain/coach), James Faulkner, Ryan Harris, David Hussey, Shaun Marsh, Nathan Rimmington Kolkata Knight Riders Brad Haddin, Brett Lee, James Pattinson. Trevor Bayliss (head coach) Mumbai Indians Aiden Blizzard, Mitchell Johnson, Clint McKay Pune Warriors Michael Clarke, Callum Ferguson, James Hopes, Steven Smith Rajasthan Royals Brad Hogg, Brad Hodge, Shaun Tait, Shane Watson Royal Challengers Bangalore Andrew McDonald, Dirk Nannes, Luke Pomersbach

Ryan Harris' date=' James Pattinson, Bollinger, Hilfy, and Shaun Tait are not second rate.[/quote'] Oh come off it, the likes Ryan Harris, Hilfy and Pattinson had only one good series against a weak Indian batting, whilst they struggle to get wickets against West Indies. And I have never seen Tait go for less than 40 runs when he has bowled on Indian conditions. Bollinger players becoz Dhoni seems to have this wierd fetish over ordinary bowlers. Since Nuwan came in for Morkel (leading wicket taker) he has been more economical and not to mention he bats abit. But alot of these second rate Aussie players batting or bowling are just not good enough on Indian conditions.

Most of these second rate Aussies have made more impact in this IPL than the top Indian stars like Kohli' date=' Raina etc. So what rate does that make our International stars?[/quote'] It's second rate Aussie vs other international players. There better players not picked/playing Theron, Morgan, Murli, Finn, Guptill, Swann, Bresnan, Anderson, Amla, and not to mention the Pakis.

How can they win if they struggled to pick wickets against WI. Harries averages in low 20s, Hilfenhaus turned first test on its head with his incisive bowling. You remember Bollinger just for this season of IPL but forgot how he changed CSK's fortunes in last 2 IPL and had a big role in their title win. Please come out of short term memory. It was Bollinger who had revived CSK two seasons back with his bowling. Shaun Tait is a bowler who can go for runs but takes wicket. He is an attacking bowler, not there to stop runs. His ODI and T2-0 record is better than most Indian pacers. James Pattinson is rookie, has not played many T20s but he has shown that he has in him what it takes to become a strike bowler for his team. These are some Aussie bowlers who if all play can make IPL more exciting to watch. Rather than seeing likes of PK, VK, Aravind getting thrashed, I would want to see them in action. They are still better than Indian fast bowlers who are barely rated by anyone anywhere.

This ain't about Indian players, it's about in comparison to other international players. There are better players not playing then these half-baked Aussie bowlers and batsmen. Teams like Punjab and Deccan based their auction around all these useless Aussie players whilst teams like Delhi and RCB have top international stars not even getting a game. I use to blame the inequality of teams' finances, but it's more down to plain stupid Aussie-centric auction from those IPL teams.

Please tell the name of better bowlers than these 5 who are not playing in IPL from other countries.

Seems like Darren Bravo may not join DC... They should sign Amla as an opener & surely he is better than Cameron White or Danial Harris or Chris Lynn

it is all an inside job, mates helping out mates and probably sharing money between themselves. franchise owners are to blame for being so naive and agreeing to buy some of these mediocre players.

Christian and White are 3rd rate players..... Lehman is little better than a high shcool cricket cocach! they dont belong on this thread at least players like S Smith, Hodge, Bollinger, Hogg have all won matches for their sides as compared to the trio on the DC side they snatched matches form the jaws of defeat
