the don Posted April 27, 2012 Posted April 27, 2012 Shoaib Akhtar: speed king 2001 Pakistan's Shoaib Akhtar became the first man to break the 100mph barrier when he was clocked bowling to Craig McMillan at 100.04 mph (161kph) during a one-day international against New Zealand in Lahore. The record remained unofficial - the ICC refused to sanction it as it did not have a standard measuring tool. The previous fastest recorded speed was 99.8mph by Australia's Jeff Thomson in 1975, although that did not take place during a match :hatsoff: he did it again against england , the fastest bowler ever shoaib akhtar take a bow.
BERGKAMP Posted April 27, 2012 Posted April 27, 2012 it doesn't count because he was taking performance enhancing drugs.

deathmonger Posted April 27, 2012 Posted April 27, 2012 161 no thats not the cumulative speed of indias opening bowlers ,thats the fastest bowl ever bowled by none other than shoaib akhtar what's the point of bowling fast. india's opening bowlers are world cup winners, world t20 winners, away series winner, world no 1 holders. speed of ball is like measuring baldness of kambli's head.
Lurker Posted April 27, 2012 Posted April 27, 2012 Jeez you two get a room. Looks like you are bringing some old frustrations from a different website at play here.
Old guy Posted April 27, 2012 Posted April 27, 2012 could ve ended up with so many more wickets still pretty good record :hatsoff: and fastest bowl ever bowled how is this meaningless?
bajrang Posted April 27, 2012 Posted April 27, 2012 and fastest bowl ever bowled how is this meaningless? its as a meaningless as the longest six ever hit or maybe even more meaningless then that, because he didnt got any wicket on it. second, he didnt bowl that delivery in an Olympic event of fastest bowling. i am sure if it was an olympic event, Chinese, Americans, Russians would have broken this record (100miles) by 1970. he just bowled bit faster then people who took more wickets then him. that's about sums up shoiab akhtar.
Crookbond Posted April 28, 2012 Posted April 28, 2012 I think the record is still good to have but is just a statistical anomaly.
rkt.india Posted April 28, 2012 Posted April 28, 2012 only a matter of time before someone breaks it There is no one in the horizon right now.
BERGKAMP Posted April 28, 2012 Posted April 28, 2012 i'm sure if steyn or finn pumped some nandrolone into their body like our mate shoaib did they would pass it easy.
