Well said. Who is saying that there should be no punishment. Is there anyone?
NO one is saying no punishment...but this looks like only small fishes cuaght..what i want is a full blown investigation [not BCCI sponsered]...if really there is spotfixing individual alone cannot do that... either there is no Spot fixing or if its there others also involved

I agree with you. Won't be surprised if there are bigger names involved...but I don't think there will be a full blown investigation. Expect smaller fish to get caught while the biggers ones roam free. This is BCCI and they will keep on feeding the cash cow till it drops dead. Mooooo!

feel sad for these 5 guys...hope they made enough money... now the question is if BCCI banned them for life , 1.What about criminal charges? 2.What Income tax department will do? 3.More importantly will Franchises comes out clean? either BCCI internal investigation must prove sting operation is fake or else there will be some serious issues Dont think Ajay maken will leave this opportunity easily [unless Pawarjee put pressure on Madamjee]

Fallah, Bhatia, Bharagav Bhatt, Bisla, Sidhhartha Trivedi. :hatsoff: Also respect for frenchise like RR where everything is transparent as Trivedi and Samad Fallah said. Abhinav Bali said he got one player agreed to bowl 9-10th over of a game in IPL 2009 and to give 11 or more runs in that over. He lured him by providing 2 girls and money. Sachin was the captain (that means team was MI) and then player got the 10th over, but refused to fix it at the last moment and even got Yusuf Pathan(Rajasthan Royals) out. Going by scorecard that player is Chaitanya Nanda of MI.

More importantly will Franchises comes out clean?
I don't think the franchises were ever clean. Do u think SRK could outbid far more loaded players who wanted stakes in IPL teams or I'm sure Kerala has enough tycoons who wld love a Kochi team. But instead Kochi goes to a bunch a tossers with no cash. I dnt even wanna get started with Vijay Mallya. He may be a big player and all, but with him around you never know what's really happening. And finally why was Rajasthan sold so cheap? So many questions. The franchises are unfortunately just a bunch of privileged hand-picked corporate's who will ultimately always work with BCCI. They are together in this. Unlike for instance the EPL, where the clubs like ManU or Man C are actual clubs and not some paper based franchises auctioned off for millions.

SRK did outbid others. RR was the highest bid that wasnt for the other 7 cities. Do you think that if another corporate had outbid any of these 2, they wouldnt have gone to the press with it? Do you really think that the international 3rd party that was brought in, especially for conspiracy theorist like you at bay, would put their reputation on line for this considering that everyone knows the winning bid amount? So many answers to so many stupid conspiracies. Whats next? Why did SRK not wearing your favorite undies?

Hmmm I smell another conspiracy theory in the making. :giggle: The fact is people know very little about the bids and the consortium's. For instance Lalit Modi was said to have a stake in two teams. BCCI secretary owns another. It's been well-documented that people close to Lalit Modi have won franchisee rights in two teams. What's known is that Suresh Chellaram, a Nigeria-based businessman who has stakes in Rajasthan Royals, is the brother-in-law of Modi. Modi's stepson-in-law Gaurav Burman is the brother of Mohit Burman, chairman of Dabur Pharma.Mohit along with industrialists Ness Wadia and Karan Paul and Bollywood actress Preity Zinta bought the Mohali franchise (Kings XI Punjab) Gaurav is also a director in Elephant Capital, a private equity firm. Elephant Capital has invested $10 million in Global Cricket Ventures (GCV), which has bagged the digital and mobile rights for IPL and the Champions Trophy until 2017. GCV is running the official IPL website. Also, N Srinivasan, the BCCI secretary and owner of India Cements, bagged the Chennai franchise (Chennai Super Kings). And yet you believe that the bidding was a fair and unbiased process :omg: Hats off to you sir :hatsoff:

just had to :hysterical::hysterical::hysterical::hysterical:, in your face indians! but on a more serious note what is the credibility of indiatv? and has there been any hard evidence anything actually happening ipl and how can some unkown player like mohsin mishra influence team selection??! i really hope this all fluff, becoz if ipl is tainted, then cricket's credibility as a sport will take a hammering.

The highest bidders won. Because it wouldnt be possible to fake it. You have no proof, just conspiracy theories. Some coincidences doesnt prove anything. You are no better than the "9/11 was organized by jews/america" or "bcci paid bookies to target amir/asif" crowd.

Mishra had made the statements "to develop his value or maybe he wanted to be pompous in front of others during the course of discussion and that he has not received any amount in cash from Sahara." "He has apologised for his frivolous and incorrect statements," Roy said that his franchisee had not paid money in cash to any player "over and above the maximum amount permissible by the BCCI for any such player". "We once again reiterate that Sahara has never paid any amount in cash or otherwise to Mohnish Mishra or any other player, over and above the maximum amount permissible by the BCCI for any such player, and neither do we believe in this practice of giving black money,"
