Old guy Posted May 15, 2012 Posted May 15, 2012 Most of ICF knows my ID there. I tend to stay away from Indo/Pak threads. They achieve nothing but add more fire to the whole thing. Forums and comments section on YouTube are ruined by these silly wars. super selector :proud:
NareshK Posted May 15, 2012 Posted May 15, 2012 It was quite clear there was backdoor dealings when it comes to salaries in IPL. I even made a thread about it a while ago that bigger franchises like Mumbai Indians paid their players way more money than the official figure and there was no cut off limit for a franchise which could have ensured a level playing field. That meant some franchises like DC and Kings X1 could only spend lesser money and got a crappy team while MI, DD,RCB got way better teams because they spent a lot more.
Pagalpanti Posted May 15, 2012 Posted May 15, 2012 TP Sudhindra's figures in the game deccan couldn't defend 190. 4-0-47-0.
Raghav_12 Posted May 15, 2012 Posted May 15, 2012 I would have been surprised, if there were no backdoor dealings to up the salaries of some of the players - especially when players were retained couple of years ago or for some better but uncapped domestic players. These kind of things are bound to happen as if not direct benefits, these frenchises can always provide fringe benefits, nobody can stop that. Spot fixing is something, if that has happened, which should be dealt with much more severely. I haven't followed this story on news channels much, any idea how reliable are evidences ? Name of India tv being involved doesn't instill much confidence.

Nova Posted May 15, 2012 Posted May 15, 2012 IPL spot-fixing: BCCI may suspend guilty players According to Times Now, the BCCI is likely to suspend T Sudhindra and Shalabh Shrivastava from all forms of cricket. Sources added that the decision will be taken in the IPL General Council meeting that is scheduled to be held later on Tuesday. It showed these players discussing the alleged involvement of IPL captains and even team owners in such activities and engaging in lengthy haggling over the price of bowling a no-ball on demand in the IPL. Nova Posted May 15, 2012 Posted May 15, 2012 I am glad this has come out. Ban these players if found guilty. Hell ban them even if not guilty.. just for opening their mouth. :hitler:
Magneto Posted May 15, 2012 Posted May 15, 2012 Samad Fallah and Rajat Bhatia could NOT be lured by money and incentives. :good:

Hell ban them even if not guilty.. just for opening their mouth. :hitler: In terms of legal evidence, they'll have to prove that money-exchange took place and MORE. Otherwise they (the cricketers) can easily say that they were talking about logos on bats etc, and the rest of the comments have been doctored and dubbed. Still, I think Sudhindra spoke a little too much on camera. Had he spoken less and just nodded, he could have made his case stronger.

I can take a casual interview of yours on video and later doctor the soundtrack to show that you are an ISI spy.
Magneto Posted May 15, 2012 Posted May 15, 2012 Samad Fallah from RR said I have taken 150 wickets in Ranji trophy more than many fast bowlers playing in Indian team. I wonder how bowlers like Samad Fallah takles so many wickets in FC cricket. Samad Fallah has taken 141 in the whole of first-class. 141 in 33 games. 141 wickets/33 = about 4 wickets a game. About 4 wickets a game is pretty much normal for anyone who is the pace spearhead for a Plate League team.

bulbul Posted May 15, 2012 Posted May 15, 2012 I am glad this has come out. Ban these players if found guilty. Hell ban them even if not guilty.. just for opening their mouth. :hitler: ist Not that simple...you cant do spot fixing without captain or team management support...what guarantee bowler will get 4 overs for sure :dontknow: nothings going to happen...this will be wahsed out easily lot at stake
Magneto Posted May 15, 2012 Posted May 15, 2012 But he is just a dibbly dobbly bowler. He can put Unadkat to shame. I've never seen him bowl actually. But he does take a decent number of wickets every year - made in to the Duleep Trophy this year as well and the Challenger Trophy last year. Guess he can swing the ball a bit, and since he's mostly bowling to Plate League teams, it's not that difficult.
Magneto Posted May 15, 2012 Posted May 15, 2012 nono evidence tht its usualy cooked up crap of india tv now legal process is diff thing all together like u guys said u need more proof If they have recorded the material on a tape-based device (which I guess they have) and they provide the unedited rushes of the material to the investigating team, then Sudhindra/Srivastava is pretty much screwed. The NOTW journalists had very cleverly sent each other mails of the occurence before the no-balls had happened which worked as a good evidence. Dunno what the India TV journos have done, though prima facie, their evidence looks pretty decent at this point.

Sarkar Posted May 15, 2012 Posted May 15, 2012 One thing BCCI shud be credited they dont care who it is life bans will go on them unlike some teams in cricket who cry conspiracies.
