JourneyMan Posted May 20, 2012 Posted May 20, 2012 This was the only meaningless match in the qualifying round, with no impacts whatsoever. They really could have played the less-used and less experienced players and let them go all out at each other. Would have given Mumbaiker starters a rest and the newbies could have had a decent match.
rkt.india Posted May 21, 2012 Posted May 21, 2012 Yes could have played Nechim or Shukla for RP as well who didnt bowl anything exceptional. Chalo at least they gave all three Nechim, Shukla, Dhawal one game at least. Toonaf will be back in the next match and entertainment continues.
Needforspeed Posted May 21, 2012 Posted May 21, 2012 Actually they should have rested Malinga, Sachin and a few key players and send them to Bangalore fo prepare for the play-offs.
Stuge Posted May 21, 2012 Posted May 21, 2012 as of now only two team on the whole IPL give more chances to players i.e RR and King's .Rest of the teams are fully loaded with bullets who will rather sideline young players .
asterix Posted May 21, 2012 Posted May 21, 2012 I've conspiracy theory.. The MI captain is a bowler, himself. He doesn't wants many young bowlers get chance and create problems for him. He's 'tried & trusted' long time collegues are Arpy & Munna who do take wickets but also give lots of free runs.. Bhajji wants to keep it that way only..
CoverDrive Posted May 21, 2012 Posted May 21, 2012 MI wants to find the best combination so it is understandable that they dont want to break the momentum and get in too many new faces. But RR should have experimented big time. give chance to guys who have not played.
