Its an election - sometimes you win, sometimes you lose. The workers and leaders and still there - party can get more seats next time. What is called "destruction" is completely taking over the party and filling it with your own people, sending in people with no knowledge of states/constituencies as in-charge, buying the support of the media (everyone knows that its happening in BJP right now), accepting anyone and everyone who comes in from other parties (however much that person might have said against BJP in the past), ignoring all local leaders in ticket selection process and most importantly, listening ONLY to those people who accept the cult of the leader (currently if you have to have your voice heard in the BJP then the you have got to sing praises of Modi because if you don't, or if you dare to question him, then whatever you have to say will not be heard and you will be forced to openly praise him - like Uma Bharti had to do yesterday when she said that Modi was not as good an orator as AtalJi).

When from 2009 itself BJP tops charts in it when Modi probably had nothing to do with it. May be you will say those 42% were given tickets on Modi's recommendations. But, Modi is an efficient administrator and vikaas purush I am told . What's the difference in 2009 BJP and 2014 BJP then?

Neither advani or his chamchas ever gave a damn about the party workers when they were sitting in Delhi royally screwing the BJP to 2 election losses.

Also, people joining form other parties would also not be getting the same red carpet treatment as they are getting now. You (and other Modi fans) may not see it, or if you do see it then you seem to have decided to ignore it, but the fact is that Modi, by taking over the entire party, is destroying it. No. SG. I don't fall into this bipolar world of for and against. Actually I am perfectly okay with Modi not being Pm. If I could see a better candidate at this point. Actually there are no candidates.

I don't remember so much of problems during the ticket distribution process in 2009 election (FYI BJP workers/leaders in at least 15-20 constituencies in up UP are still protesting and many, for Ex, the mayor of Agra, have already joined other parties or will support their local BJP leaders as independent candidates). I also don't recall so many people from other parties coming in and getting tickets immediately (in UP itself this time BJP has given tickets to 23 people form other parties - that is a HUGE, unprecedented number and has caused a lot of resentment among BJP leaders/workers in these constituencies). I don't remember saying that BJP workers, in wanting Modi to be PM candidate, were wrong.

Although his work in Gujrat and his popularity can't be doubted but a lot of this has to do with Congress's failures(AAP being the latest of them).

Country is yearning for leadership. It wants somebody who can command. Modi has smartly marketed himself into that spot.
